We are looking for an experienced exhibition/showroom stand designer to develop a clean, warm and professional design for our 72 sqm permanent mart at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, India. We are a home décor, tabletop and accessories company with a fairly large product range, so the design needs to balance good aesthetics with practical product-display capacity. The concept does not need to be overly complicated or extravagant. We are looking for something simple, sophisticated, warm and commercially practical, with particular attention to lighting and product presentation. I require an experienced architectural technician or architect to update and coordinate drawings for an existing Amendment to Building Warrant for a nearly completed two-storey house in Edinburgh. The existing architectural drawings are available in PDF and DWG format. The principal revisions include: • Remove all FD30/fire-door references, as Building Standards have confirmed that a protected enclosure and fire doors are not required. • Revise the ground-floor shower-room layout to match the as-built arrangement and place for future use on it • Check all internal door positions and opening directions. • Check the boiler cupboard, first-floor bathroom, landing, under-stairs access and loft hatch. • Confirm the kitchen layout and window. • Check the soil vent, entrance platform, accessible route and external thresholds. • Check the as-built drainage, manholes and rodding eyes against the available information. • Ensure consistency with the updated structural drawings, SER and final SAP/PV requirements – most of this I have done so juts needs a quick check • Carry out a general coordination check so the drawings accurately reflect the completed building – its only the layout dwg mainly which needs changing The revised drawings must be suitable for submission to the City of Edinburgh Council through the Scottish eBuilding Standards system. Help designing window layout to the front elevation of a house
I have a project which I propose to start next April. This will be our 5th project, so we are well versed with the process and completing similar projects. I am a qualified Building Surveyor and a Property Developer by profession: • We have planning permission for the works. • We designed the works and have had an architectural technician draw up the detail. • We have structural engineers designs and calculations. • We have construction drawings prepared. • We have Party Walls covered. • We have building Regs covered. • We have obtained quotes and have selected a builder. What we are not quite happy with is the front elevation which is probably the most important piece for us. How the house will look from the front is crucial. We have tried to finesse the elevation with our current “architectural technician” but he’s not a designer but is good at pulling the drawings together. We sent him AI generated images of what we wanted plus some photos of a property locally which we like. We like the painted brickwork, the colour of the pain etc. See pics and images below. I appreciate there are issues with where the openings sit in each room, but we are prepared to accept this to get the front looking its best. The roof on the drawings attached is not quite right too. Do you think you can help us get the location, sizes of the windows designed so it looks right? Let me know and if you can provide a quote for your input then I can obtain the CAD drawings.
