I run a UK accountancy practice and am looking to build an AI-powered bookkeeping workflow using n8n. The objective is not to replace bookkeepers, but to automate the majority of transaction coding while escalating uncertain items for review. The system should work with both Xero and QuickBooks and follow a client-specific "bookkeeping blueprint" which contains coding rules, VAT treatment, known suppliers and account mappings. The ideal outcome is a workflow that can automatically process a large proportion of bookkeeping transactions, ask questions when required, learn from responses and then complete the bookkeeping process. Preferred stack: n8n OpenAI and/or Claude Xero API QuickBooks API Microsoft 365 / Teams integration I am open to suggestions if there is a better architecture. Required Workflow 1. Transaction Retrieval Retrieve transactions from: Xero QuickBooks Potentially: Bank feeds Purchase invoices Sales invoices Receipts 2. Bookkeeping Blueprint The system should use a client-specific blueprint which we will provide for each client containing information such as: Chart of accounts VAT rules Known suppliers Director expense rules Payroll rules Account mappings Typical coding decisions Escalation rules 3. Transaction Classification The agent should: Categorise transactions Suggest nominal codes Suggest VAT treatment Provide a confidence score Record reasoning 4. Human Review Process When confidence is below a defined threshold: The system should generate a question and send it to a team member via: Microsoft Teams Email Other suitable option Example: "Payment of £127.50 to Amazon could relate to software, office supplies or equipment. Please confirm." 5. Wait for Response The workflow must pause and wait for a response. Once a response is received, the workflow should continue automatically. 6. Post Transactions After confirmation: Post transaction Update bookkeeping records Maintain audit trail 7. Learning Capability The system should store previous decisions so future coding improves. Examples: Supplier → account code Supplier → VAT treatment Common bookkeeping decisions User corrections I would like advice on the best approach for this. 8. Review & Exception Reporting Generate reports identifying: Uncoded transactions Duplicate transactions VAT anomalies Suspicious postings Items requiring review Important Requirements Audit trail Human-in-the-loop review Confidence scoring Scalable across multiple clients Secure handling of accounting data UK bookkeeping and VAT awareness Developer Requirements Please apply only if you have experience with: n8n AI agents or workflow automation Xero API QuickBooks API Accounting or bookkeeping workflows Bonus if you have: Worked with accountancy firms Built finance automation systems Experience with RAG/vector databases Experience with Microsoft 365 integrations Proposal Requirements Please include: Relevant examples of similar projects. Recommended architecture. Suggested tech stack. Potential risks or limitations. Estimated phase-based delivery plan. Whether you would use n8n or recommend an alternative, and why.

Node.js / TypeScript Dev for Browser Based MMO Game Backend
I’m developing an MMORPG RTS, a browser based multiplayer strategy game. The project is already in development and has an existing Node.js / TypeScript codebase and game engine. I’m looking for an experienced developer to help continue the backend development. The game runs in a shared universe where players manage buildings and units, research technology, move fleets, fight other players and compete for territory. Actions continue to resolve while players are offline. A core requirement of the game is deterministic, server authoritative simulation. Combat, movement, resource production and other game systems need to produce consistent results from the same inputs. The existing engine is structured as pure TypeScript and is shared between server side systems and the combat simulator. The game specification is already extensive. It defines fleet movement, resource production, construction and research queues, combat, colonisation, espionage, player protection, territory, sensors and other systems. For example, fleet travel uses deterministic coordinates, ship speeds and technology modifiers, with the slowest ship determining fleet speed. The work will involve: - Working with the existing Node.js / TypeScript codebase - Extending and completing backend game systems - Implementing mechanics from an existing specification - Maintaining deterministic game engine behaviour - Working with persistent timed events, queues and fleet movements - Integrating game-engine logic with the API/database where required - Fixing bugs and inconsistencies in existing systems - Writing or maintaining automated tests for important game rules - Helping prepare the backend for multiplayer testing and eventual production use This is not primarily a graphics/game engine role. The game is browser based and interface driven. I am specifically looking for someone strong in backend application architecture and TypeScript/Node.js. Required experience: - Strong Node.js and TypeScript - Backend/API development - Relational databases and data modelling - Automated testing - Git - Ability to understand and work safely within an existing codebase - Experience implementing business/game rules from written specifications Experience with persistent multiplayer games, simulation systems, background workers/queues or server-authoritative game logic would be useful, but is not essential if your backend fundamentals are strong. When applying, please answer these three questions: 1. Tell me about the most technically relevant Node.js/TypeScript project you have personally worked on. What parts did you implement? 2. How would you approach testing a deterministic game engine where identical inputs must always produce identical outputs? 3. Have you worked with systems involving scheduled/background processing, queues, timed events or persistent multiplayer state? If so, briefly explain. Please don't send a generic agency introduction. I'm interested in the developer who would actually be working on the project.

Product Design Engineer Needed – Small Flexible Consumer Product / CAD & Prototype I’m looking for an experienced product design/mechanical engineer to help develop a small flexible consumer product from an existing concept into an initial functional prototype. The product is a small, preferably one-piece flexible component containing very fine, soft internal features. It also incorporates a flexible split/opening which needs to open temporarily and reliably return to its original shape without permanent deformation. I’m looking for someone who has experience with: • Physical consumer product development • Flexible materials such as TPE, TPU and/or silicone • Small, fine flexible features • CAD for manufacture • Injection-moulded product design / DFM • Functional prototyping and design iteration This is not simply a CAD tracing/rendering job. I need someone who can help develop the geometry, material choice and functionality and advise how the design can eventually be manufactured at very low unit cost. I already have concept visuals and a clear functional brief, but these will only be shared privately after confidentiality has been agreed. Initial budget: £200–£300. This budget is for the first development stage only — feasibility/design development, initial CAD and ideally a functional prototype or prototype-ready design. Further development may follow if the concept performs successfully. Please include examples of any relevant work involving flexible moulded products, TPE/TPU/silicone, fine flexible features or injection-moulded consumer products. Please also confirm: • whether you’re happy to work under an NDA/confidentiality agreement; • what you could deliver within £200–£300; • whether STEP/STL/source CAD files would be supplied to me; • whether you have experience designing for injection moulding.

Final 15% of Our New Website
Budget: £500 fixed fee Location: Remote – UK freelancers preferred Project: Visual refinement of an existing WordPress website template About us Severn Vale Home Care is an independent, family-owned home-care company based in Worcestershire. We are deliberately different from traditional care providers. We believe excellent care is about much more than meeting practical needs. It’s about wellness, independence, companionship and helping people enjoy life. Our approach combines genuine warmth and individuality with a touch of the hospitality industry’s exceptional attention to detail. We aim to anticipate our clients’ needs before they even realise they have them. We also run Good Life Clubs, bringing people together in our communities for companionship, activities and social connection. We are a friendly, slightly quirky, mid-market premium family business, not a national franchise or corporate care provider. The project – we already have 85% We are replacing our existing website with something simpler, cleaner, more elegant and considerably more conversion-focused, while retaining our distinctive family identity. We already have: * An established brand with beautiful photography, illustrations, patterns and colours. * A collection of genuine photographs of our team and the people behind our business. * A carefully selected wellness-led WordPress template. * A separate development team who will build the website. Existing website and brand assets: https://www.severnvalehomecare.co.uk/ Chosen website template: https://demo.goodlayers.com/infinite/homepages/wellness/ We believe we already have approximately 85% of the finished result. We are looking for a talented individual with exceptional visual judgement to deliver the final 15%. This is about beautiful typography, thoughtful composition, creative restraint and making our existing assets work together exceptionally well. We are not looking for a rebrand, a bespoke website or extensive changes to the chosen template. The experience we want to create Imagine a wellness brand with a gentle touch of hospitality, but unmistakably an independent family business. Our website should feel warm, welcoming, polished, reassuring and subtly individual. Most importantly, it should make arranging care feel easy. Our visitors are often older people or adult children who may be anxious or urgently looking for excellent care for someone they love. Just as our care professionals anticipate clients’ needs, our website should anticipate visitors’ questions, concerns and next steps before they have to ask. Visitors should immediately understand our services, meet the real people behind our business, feel reassured and know exactly how to contact us or arrange a free care assessment. We also want the website to communicate our wider commitment to wellness, quality of life and community involvement through our Good Life Clubs. Beautiful design and excellent conversion must work hand in hand. What we need A focused design commission comprising: 1. A review of our existing brand assets and selected template. 2. Creative refinement of the homepage. 3. One reusable service-page design. 4. Desktop and mobile layouts in Figma. 5. A straightforward design handover to our existing WordPress developers. We want to work within the existing template structure wherever possible to minimise additional development. The designer we’re looking for We are looking for an individual freelance graphic designer or art director, not an agency or WordPress development company. You will have: * An excellent artistic eye and strong typographic judgement. * Experience creating beautiful, simple, personality-led websites. * An understanding of intuitive website design and conversion. * The ability to use existing brand assets creatively rather than reinvent everything. * A portfolio demonstrating genuine individuality, warmth and sophistication. Experience in independent hospitality, lifestyle, wellness or other people-centred businesses would be particularly welcome. Budget and application Fixed budget: £500. This is a tightly defined visual design commission. The brand, photography, template and development arrangements are already in place. Please apply with: * Links to your two best completed website design projects. We are particularly interested in visual quality, not just technical functionality. * A brief explanation of how you would approach refining an existing template and brand. * Confirmation that you can deliver the specified Figma designs within the fixed budget. Please do not send generic agency presentations, WordPress development quotations or proposals for a complete rebrand. We’re looking for the designer who can see the potential in what we already have and make that final 15% exceptional.
