My novel genre is romantic fiction and my target audience are women or anyone from the new age spiritual community. This project requires you to sign a None-Disclosure Agreement. I’m seeking the following assistance: * When editing or proofreading my novel, please do NOT do the following: - Please do NOT change the font size of the words in any single page - Please do NOT change the font style of any words from any page - Please do NOT do not modified the left or right Margins spacing or top or bottom margins. I have someone else to do that for me. - Please keep all of my poems with pictures in the same page. Do not cut my poem page in two pages. Keep them in one page. * Things to Note: When editing please also assist me with paragraph indentation. I’m not clear when should a paragraph be indented. * Please help in reducing repeated words. For example, If “I said” or “I responded” is used a lot, try to find other ways to show what the characters are saying to reduce repetition. * This project is confidential and it requires you to sign a NDA * What the work involves: Line editing focuses on the style, structure, and clarity of the writing, while general editing encompasses various aspects, including content, grammar, and formatting. Line editing is a more granular level of revision, aiming to improve the flow, word choice, and overall readability of the text. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Line Editing: * Focus: Line editing primarily concerns itself with the "line" level of a text. This means it focuses on individual sentences, paragraphs, and sections to ensure they are well-written and clear. * Purpose: The goal of line editing is to polish the writing, improve the narrative, and enhance the overall flow of the text. * Involves: Line editing can involve making changes to sentence structure, word choice, punctuation, and overall tone to create a more engaging and effective reading experience. * Also known as: Stylistic editing. General Editing: * Scope: General editing encompasses a wider range of editing tasks, including: * Developmental editing (focusing on the overall story or argument). * Copy editing (ensuring grammar, spelling, and formatting are correct). * Proofreading (checking for any remaining errors). * Focus: General editing ensures that the writing is accurate, consistent, and adheres to style guides. * Purpose: The overall goal of general editing is to make the writing polished and error-free. In short: Line editing is a specific type of editing that focuses on the stylistic and structural aspects of writing, while general editing encompasses a broader range of editing tasks to ensure the final product is polished and error-free. Proofreading is the final stage in the editing process where a document is carefully reviewed for errors, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting inconsistencies. It ensures the text is accurate, clear, and professional before it is published or shared. Elaboration: ¥ Focus on Surface Errors: Proofreading primarily focuses on surface-level errors like typos, misspellings, and grammatical mistakes. ¥ Final Stage of Editing: It's the last step in the writing process, after all other revisions and editing have been completed. ¥ Ensuring Polish: Proofreading helps ensure that the final document is polished and error-free, contributing to its overall quality and credibility. ¥ Importance of Accuracy: Proofreading is crucial for maintaining accuracy and consistency in the document, especially in fields like academic writing, publishing, and business communication. ¥ Beyond Errors: While proofreading focuses on errors, it can also help identify inconsistencies in style, formatting, and terminology.
Critical Reader and Story Evaluation (2nd Edition Novel)
* Critical Reader: - On a separate sheet of paper, provide all your feedback analysis. - Provide the page number and copy and paste whatever paragraph that needs to be highlighted to explain what’s wrong or what needs to improve. - Please help in identifying anything that you might think is a turnoff for my readers, such as anything that is cliché, silly, wrong in regard to facts, any contradictions, or anything that doesn’t make logical sense. - Provide suggestions and examples of how the writing style can be improved and how to add more emotional expression to the characters or situation. - On page 29, I summarized the whole dating experience between John and Kelly in one paragraph. I ran out of ideas when it comes to what happened between John and Kelly in the summer of 2006. You are welcome to throw in some ideas for me. If your ideas are good and relevant to the story’s theme, then I would definitely add them to the story. - Please be honest with your feedback. Don’t worry about hurting my feelings. If you help identify anything that is wrong, that would be very appreciated. - Do not copy-past my whole novel into an AI software tool. Try to analyze the story without AI tool.
Book Proofread- Controversial Subject Matter
I am looking for the right individual to do a proofread (thought flow, grammar etc.) for my book. The book itself is my letter to the Church. I was once part of a group, and was forced to leave in late 2020. Last year, I typed out a 4 page letter and sent it out to 15 groups in the city not so far from me. I wanted to have a conversation with the leaders, on why decisions were made. Only 2/15 leaders responded back to me. As a result of the former, this book started to become a reality. More importantly, is the subject matter. The book itself is specifically that of the Church, and how COVID made an impact within. Additionally, I go into some history of political ideologies (Communism, Nazism) and a bit into the Masons). These are for the purpose of relating what was, to that of history. In saying the above, this book is not endorsing the Church, nor that of secularism. Rather, it is asking the hard questions, pointing out the obvious contradictions and such, and trying to get people to engage in dialogue. The scripture verses referenced and prayer, are for the purpose(s) of relating to those within the 4 walls. My experiences which are mentioned/explained, are based on real happenings. The ideal candidate will check of the following boxes. -very and completely objective -see/understand why I am trying to connect up various aspects to the main topics (COVID and the Church) -ensure proper thought/word/chapter flow etc. -suggest thought/word/chapter revisions if something is off/missing -keep the formatting as is (due to continuity with my other 2 books) As for the footnotes, I will do that up, once all the chapters are in order. Word Count: approx. 26, 000 Thank you in advance for all those who are interested in this project Joel P.S. I can provide samples on request.
I need help to proofread 500 words
I seek an experienced proofreader to review a 500 word text and ensure it is grammatically correct, well punctuated and free of spelling errors. The copy requires meticulous editing to refine the language and ensure the writing clearly conveys the intended meaning. The proofreader should have excellent skills in written English and the ability to identify ways to enhance the work through more sophisticated vocabulary choices or restructuring convoluted sentences for increased clarity and fluency. Minor changes to word choice, tense consistency, and logical flow should be marked up directly in the document. Larger issues such as weak paragraph structure or themes that require further development may be noted separately. A final review is needed to catch any minor errors that were inadvertently overlooked in earlier rounds of editing. Feedback on overall writing style and areas for potential improvement will also be appreciated to help strengthen future versions of this text. This is a carefully detailed project requiring a dedicated proofreader with a keen eye for both macro and micro-level editing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience assessing writing for professional contexts and an advanced understanding of grammar, usage and style guidelines. Please indicate your rate and availability for a target completion date within one week of receiving the document. I look forward to reviewing proposals from qualified proofreaders.

My novel genre is romantic fiction and my target audience are women or anyone from the new age spiritual community. This project requires you to sign a None-Disclosure Agreement. I decided to say hi to her.” However, you would suggestion this better: “I ride my bike down the street against the cold wind and then I spotted Jenny walking her dog on the side walk. I became hypnotize by the beauty of her fiery red hair fluttering against the wind. My heart starts beating and the coldness I felt dissolves by the blood flowing through my veins.” * Editor (Please help with determining what paragraph needs indention). * Proofreader This is the theme of the story: Dive deep into a poetic love story that is thought-provoking and mind-blowing. Prepare for an unforgettable emotional rollercoaster ride that will change the way you see this world. Follow John and Kelly’s breathtaking romance that bends the bounders of time and space. Witness John’s friendship with Alexander Buckingham that would make you question your physical reality. My Eternal Love by Gus Mendoza explores profound themes such as spiritual awakening, soulmates, reincarnation, poetry, and living in the struggle. This story is more than just a simple love story.
