AudioDrama Editor
Hello, EDIT: This project currently has 3 candidates, you are free to apply but I will be focusing on these individuals first. Thank you. I am looking for someone to edit the audio files for my audiodrama based on A Tale of Four Mages written by me. The files will be downloaded from Google Drive and uploaded to the same place. You will need to sign a contract as the product you will be working on is copywritten by me and produced by Dorrance Publishing. The contract will specifically be between you and me (the owner of the rights) This is a long-term recurring project, A Tale of Four Mages has 56 chapters, an epilogue and we are on chapter 8. I also have 12 other books; many are awaiting publication (future work). Your first task will be to arrange the files in order. The files come in chapter sets of 1 to 4. The narrator has been instructed to properly number these files for easier editing. Your second task will be to eliminate noises and mistakes from the narrator as best you can. The narrator is young and a mouth breather, but she is willing to learn and has a good attitude. At this point you will upload the first file, a clean version with no sound effects. Your third task will be to add sound effects as needed to create a scene. Ex; footsteps, bootsteps, magic usage, wind, trees rustling, snoring, etc. Some single scenes may require up to five sounds at a time. Many scenes will need unique or modified sounds, so they are a little different from one another. Changing speed, pitch, volume, etc will accomplish this. Videos will need to be 8-12 minutes each. Videos will need a 20-40 minute build up before the narration and a 20-40 minute breakdown after. Length is determined by the narration length. You will be expected to produce one edited video per two weeks, but this can go up to a video every week once my current publication is finished and I get another narrator. Payment Name your price, we can haggle if necessary but once we agree on something that is the pay we go with. I have a reputation for developing long-term working relationships with my clients, often giving them first dibs on multiple paying jobs. I offer bonuses for hard work, but I am not made of money. I also offer advanced pay when applicable. All these details and more will be covered in the contract. Do you have any questions? How much are you willing to do this per video? Build Integration to send IONOS Web Orders to Kipos POS
We run a food takeaway and need a developer to build an integration so that orders placed on our IONOS webstore are automatically sent into our Kipos account (https://app.kipos.uk/) and print straight to our kitchen/printer setup with no manual re-entry. This must be production-ready: fast, reliable, and built to handle busy service periods. What the integration must do 1) Capture new online orders from IONOS Detect new orders as soon as they’re paid/confirmed (or the correct “ready for kitchen” status) Pull all relevant order data: Order ID, timestamp Customer name + phone/email Delivery vs collection Address (delivery) / pickup details (collection) Requested time: ASAP vs scheduled (time slot if applicable) Customer notes (allergies, “no onions”, etc.) Items, quantities, variants Modifiers / add-ons / extras (e.g., “extra cheese”, “no sauce”, spice level) Discounts / delivery fee / tips (if present) Payment method/status 2) Create the order in Kipos exactly as the kitchen needs it Push the order into Kipos so it lands in the correct screen/queue as an online order Map all the required fields Ensure delivery/collection is correctly set and visible on print tickets Include requested time clearly (especially for scheduled orders) 3) Auto-printing to kitchen printers Orders arriving in Kipos should auto-print to our configured printer(s), or be inserted into the correct Kipos workflow/status that triggers printing. Key requirements (takeaway-specific) Modifier & note handling (critical) Must support multiple modifiers per item, and multiple items each with their own notes Preserve formatting so the ticket is easy to read during service Handle edge cases like: “No X” and allergy notes Duplicate prevention + reliability No duplicate tickets/orders if a webhook retries or the sync is re-run Retry + failure handling: Automatic retries Clear error logs Optional alert (email) if an order fails to sync Operational timing Webhook/event-driven preferred (near-instant) Polling acceptable only if webhooks aren’t available, but it must still be reliable and efficient Security Secure credential storage (environment variables/secret store) HTTPS, least-privilege access Preferred technical approach We’re open to the best implementation, but we expect this to be either: Middleware service (recommended): listens for IONOS orders and posts to Kipos or Direct plugin/integration if IONOS supports it. Deliverables Working live integration: IONOS → Kipos order creation + printing workflow Configuration options: Which order status triggers sending Item/modifier mapping method Logging dashboard or structured logs (success/failures, retries, duplicates) Documentation: Setup steps How to update menu/mappings Troubleshooting guide Test evidence: At least 10 varied test orders (modifiers, delivery/collection, scheduled/ASAP) Source code + handover (Git repo or zip) Short post-launch support period (bug fixes) Acceptance criteria A new IONOS order appears correctly in Kipos within an agreed time (e.g., under 60 seconds if webhook-based) Ticket prints automatically (or via correct Kipos status trigger) without staff interaction Items, modifiers, notes, times, and delivery/collection details are accurate and readable No duplicates under retries/network issues Clear logs for each order’s sync status To include in your proposal Your recommended approach (webhooks vs polling, architecture, hosting) Relevant experience (POS integrations, online ordering, printers/kitchen workflows) Estimated cost + timeline (phased: build → test → deploy) What you need from us (API access, sample menu, Kipos printer workflow details) Info we can provide to speed things up Sample orders (with modifiers/notes) Our current IONOS product list/menu structure Screenshot/video of our Kipos order screen + print output requirements Printer setup details inside Kipos (single printer or multiple stations)
a month ago31 proposalsRemoteColour banding fix, posterisation fix, masking for short film
Objectives * The objective of this project is to tidy-up some of the scenes in a short film. Deliverables * To remove or reduce banding in some shots. To remove or reduce posterisation in other shots. And to mask a small object in a couple of other shots. If anything else is spotted during the ‘clean-up’ then we can take a view as to whether it is distracting enough to warrant a tidy up. This may include some colour grading to match existing shots once banding issues etc have been resolved. Timescale * To begin as soon as possible. This should hopefully not be a long process, but it would be important to ‘walk through’ the video with a view to picking up on any other spurious challenges. Much of the video is fine, but when it’s not fine, it is quite noticeable - particularly (as you might imagine) on larger screens. Hopefully everything should be easily completed within a week after the ‘walkthrough’. Spec * Editing to be done in Final Cut Pro if possible. That’s not absolutely essential. However any rendered file would need to be able to be imported and also edited in Final Cut Pro. Files should be rendered in 4k, highest bit rate possible. The file to be edited has already had some grading done. It’s not pro res footage. Context * This is a short zero budget Indie Film. Music, soundscape and pro audio have yet to be added. I’d like to do that after this work is done. The film itself is mystery/spooky/metaphorical and would probably be rated as no more than PG if it were in such a classification system. N.B. Re the aforementioned ‘walkthrough’, I would really like to talk through the film (which is circa 10 mins long) whilst pointing out what is specifically required. To that end, someone based in the Central Belt of Scotland would be preferred. Not absolutely essential but I think things would be smoother, easier, more straightforward that way. Yes that might mean meeting in a cafe and going over it. I’ll buy the coffee. And of course more details are available if required. Thank you

Backend Game Logic Engineer
I’m building a persistent, browser based strategy MMO. The UI is largely in place, I need an experienced backend engineer to implement the core game engine and logic, strictly following a written specification. This is a logic heavy role, not a UI or design role. What you’ll be responsible for You will implement the backend systems that power the game, including: - Colony state and ownership - Resource production, storage caps, and protection - Build / research / training / shipyard queues (time-based, server-authoritative) - Fleet travel, ETA calculation, and recall windows - Deterministic combat resolution (no RNG) - Colonisation, conquest, and hard anti-griefing rules - Technology effects on units, fleets, and travel - APIs consumed by an existing frontend UI The game is fully deterministic: Given the same inputs, outcomes must always be identical. - Non negotiable constraints Please do not apply if any of these are a problem: - No randomness in combat, travel, or production - No “simplifying” mechanics - No redesigning rules or systems - No adding features that are not in the spec This role is implementation, not interpretation. What I’ll provide - A detailed game design document defining all mechanics - Clear formulas for combat, travel, sensors, queues, and tech - An existing frontend UI to integrate against - Fast feedback and decisions (no stakeholder mess) Tech stack - I’m flexible on stack, but you should be comfortable with: - REST or equivalent API design - Relational data modelling - Time based systems (queues, timers, delayed resolution) - Writing automated tests for deterministic logic Please state: - Your preferred backend stack - How you would test deterministic systems - Deliverables (initial milestone) As a first milestone, I expect: Backend logic + API for: - Colony command screen (timers, resources, queues) - Fleet launch, ETA calculation, recall logic - Active missions list - Basic automated tests validating core formulas - Budget & engagement Open to hourly or milestone based pricing - Looking for quality over speed - Long term work possible if this goes well When applying, briefly describe: - A system you’ve built where correctness mattered more than UX - How you avoid logic drift over time

The service has to survive reboots, remain hidden from casual discovery, and run smoothly on Android 9 through 14 without demanding root access. Battery and data consumption should be minimal. A single first-run screen where I can enter SMTP credentials, reporting frequency, and perhaps an optional keyword filter is sufficient—after that, the interface can vanish. Deliverables • Release-ready APK plus fully commented source code • Straightforward setup guide suitable for a non-technical manager • README detailing the permissions used and collection methods Acceptance criteria • Keystroke, website, and app-usage logs arrive via email on schedule with correct timestamps • No visible notifications or icons after initial configuration • Service restarts automatically after a reboot or update
