Structural engineering for pool fill

Overview I'm converting a former indoor swimming pool into part of a new single-storey gym extension at a private home. The pool is being decommissioned, filled and floored over, finished level with the new extension. I need a structural engineer to design the pool-room floor, because there's a groundwater question that rules out a simple ground-bearing slab. The problem The original plan was to strip the pool, fill the void with compacted MOT Type 1 to ~300 mm below finished floor level, then lay a ground-bearing slab/screed over it. The concern is groundwater — the water table may be at or above the pool base, which raises two issues: (1) possible buoyancy/uplift on the empty concrete pool shell, and (2) a saturated or variable base that isn't suitable for a simple ground-bearing slab. We're cutting a hole in the pool base to test for water ingress and relieve any uplift, so the water findings will follow shortly. What I need (deliverables) • An assessment of the groundwater/buoyancy situation and the existing pool structure. • A designed floor solution that doesn't rely on questionable ground — I've been advised the likely options are a block-and-beam suspended floor or a reinforced concrete slab tied into the pool walls, with land drainage and/or tanking as needed. Your recommendation plus full design. • Designed for gym-equipment floor loading. • A waterproofing/tanking strategy as required, tie-in details to the existing pool walls and to the new extension's raft foundation, and structural details/calculations suitable for Building Control (we're using a private Approved Inspector). Expertise required • Structural engineer experienced in below-ground / water-resisting (basement-type) reinforced-concrete design, buoyancy/flotation, and suspended vs ground-bearing floors. Geotechnical input (water-table assessment) an advantage, or the ability to bring it in. Scope note This is one defined element only. The extension steelwork and its raft foundation have already been designed by another structural engineer — I'm not asking you to take on the whole build, just the pool-room floor and the groundwater question. Layout images for a calendar

I need someone to design a calendar. At least, the layout of the images of a calendar. It’s for a motorbike club. Don’t worry about all the date stuff. This is just to put the images together. Not the actual date part but the front cover and the pages with the images on. Our printable put together all the days of the week and month parts. We have about 34 photographs and we can use any or all of them. Some months could just have one image and some months could have a montage. For the cover, a montage of each of the 12 images on the inside. The front cover needs a logo which we will provide and a small amount of design. I can send you a photograph of last year’s calendar so you know the kind of wording that we need on it. Very little. Unfortunately I don’t have a PDF of last years. It would be in landscape size A4 so what you are doing is producing 13 images from 34 photographs and one of those images is a montage of the other 12. I hope that makes sense. It would need to be print ready so we can just send it to the printers and they will incorporate it all into the calendar. I don’t know what this costs so I put a nominal fee in and if you think it’s going to be more, just say. Please don’t just say “I can do this”. Can you give me a few examples to look at please?
