Project / Production Manager for Community Photography Project
We are looking for a project / production manager who will work closely with the curator of major community photography project around the Waterloo area; a reflection and celebration of the local cultural heritage which is taking place in summer 2024. Must be UK based. The overall purpose of the role will be: - To coordinate the different work streams, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to budget - To liaise with external partners - To undertake specific management tasks This will be a freelance role running from April - October for the main project with a smaller workload carrying on until February 2025. Job Requirements: - Strong organisational skills - Previous project management experience - Excellent written and oral communication skills and numeracy skills Job Responsibilities - Regular liaison with the communications and community workers and with the curator - Liaison with external partners and contractors including We Are Waterloo, Lambeth Council and the photographers. - Administrative tasks to prepare for the exhibition such as ordering prints and merchandise and managing any queries - Oversee hanging as required - Managing the timeline and budget of the project and working with the curator to take action where required

The purpose of this role is to: - Organise the recruitment and training of local volunteers to become community interviewers, interviewing people and businesses who remember Lower Marsh at the time the photos were taken to include a workshop with a cultural historian - Managing the process of creating an audio guide to the exhibition of interviews in liaison with the curator - ensuring volunteers produce materials which align with the design of the guide - Organising workshops for local school children to introduce them to the exhibition and to the use of photography to capture heritage This will be a freelance role running from now - September for the main project with a smaller workload carrying on until February 2025. We require someone to implement fortnightly street photography across city centre Glasgow and the inner city ring road. We'll provide you a full route plan, full briefing what is required to be photographed. The task is needed every two-weeks during this year (2023) and into the first quarter next year (2024) - starting ASAP. The task will take you circa 4 hours to complete - it's largely accessible on foot - so no travel costs. The time allocation also allows time for you to download images from camera and smartphone - we don't require any changes to the images, just what you've photographed - and to upload to our cloud server. This task requires someone with basic but reliable photography skills - you don’t need to be a professional - if you can take good pics for social media, etc. that'll be good enough for us. Access to a compact camera (or like) and reasonably new smartphone is ideal - some locations will better suit a camera whilst others are easier with your camera-phone. The KEY attributes are someone that's reliable - does what they promise - can work to a flexible schedule and can improve what they deliver with feedback. And, being comfortable with 3 or more hours walking - you'll easily get to 15-20k steps! The task is based on four hours - paid at £15 per hour, so £60 each time. I have some business interests in Allentown Pennsylvania. I need someone to take some pictures around Allentown of a particular type. It could be outside your house, in your neighborhood or you might need to drive to it. It will be low-stress and involve no people or models. You can be an amateur, in fact this is perfect for a student. I would prefer a point and shoot camera, but DSLR or good cell phone would work too. You do not need to crop, edit or resize the images. Just send me the raw full-size images straight from your camera. $10 for 3 shots of the same thing from different angles. I don't need video or professional lighting or staging. Just daytime shots.
