Fire safety engineer for non standard building reg approval

Looking for recommendations for a Fire Safety Engineer (FSE). I’m carrying out a domestic extension/loft project that requires a non-standard fire strategy to satisfy Building Control, because the stairs come down into the kitchen. There is no other way to arrange the stairs. Personally I think an escape ladder down the pitched roof from the loft seems sensible or if not a sprinkler system. I’m looking for someone experienced in designing alternative means of escape for residential projects.
