IOS developer: app from detailed spec and existing Swift source
Skippers Online is a UK online sailing school. Our lessons app, "Skippers Lessons", is finished and working on Android and Windows. We now need an experienced iOS developer to bring the iPhone/iPad version to the App Store. The code is already written. The Swift source for the iOS app has been written with Claude (Anthropic's AI) from a detailed technical handover, but it has not yet been compiled or run, because it was written without a Mac. Your job is to turn it into a working, published app. What the app does: - Students sign in with their Skippers Online account (or continue as a guest) - They download narrated HTML5 lessons (roughly 100-200 MB each) and play them offline - Access to each course is controlled by the server; lessons can be deleted to free space - Password reset happens inside the app What you'll receive: - The Swift source files (WKWebView, background URLSession downloads, Keychain, ZIPFoundation), iOS 17+, universal iPhone and iPad - The shared lesson-list screen (one HTML page, used unchanged by all our apps) - A 25-page handover document covering the design, the server calls and a full test checklist - The working Android app and source code for reference - The server side is complete and live: you won't need to change it Your job: - Set up the Xcode project from the supplied code and get it building - Fix whatever doesn't compile or doesn't behave correctly on a real iPhone and iPad - Test against the checklist (sign-in, guests, downloads in the background, offline playback, audio with the silent switch on, and so on) - Set up TestFlight, then take the app through App Store review to release, under our own Apple Developer account (you'll be added as a team member) Requirements: - Proven apps in the App Store; please include links - Experience with WKWebView, background downloads and App Store submission - Willing to work with existing code rather than rewrite it - UK-based or able to work UK hours is a plus How we'll maintain it: we intend to keep maintaining the app with Claude after handover, including Apple's yearly rebuild. So please keep it simple to pick up: plain Swift with as few third-party libraries as possible, clear comments, a README covering setup, build and release, and a build that runs from the command line (xcodebuild) as well as in Xcode. You're welcome to use AI tools such as Claude Code yourself. At the end we must receive the full Xcode project and source code; we own all rights to the work. In your proposal, please give: 1. A fixed price for getting the supplied code working and released, with your estimated timescale 2. A price for the yearly update Apple requires (rebuilding with the current Xcode and resubmitting), as a fallback 3. Links to two or three apps you've built Shortlisted applicants will receive the code and the full handover pack.

Wayfinding and Asset Id Signage (& Labels, Asset Tags etc)
I run an industrial asset management consultancy and have ventured into the site signage and asset identification sector on this market to give our clients a tied together service. We are producing signage to be used in industrial plants, both in their production/ factory floors and in their offices & HQ areas. I currently have the supply partners I use do the artwork, but am looking at bringing this in house and developing a more standardised approach, also then allowing us to go to a wider net of printing suppliers while also maintaining ownership and control of the designs. I am looking for a reliable and highly skilled graphic designer to fill that gap. We have works in progress, won bids and bids to prepare for currently. This offshoot business is in its early stages but is currently winning work and the plan is for this to be ongoing work. All designs must be in Adobe Illustrator and strictly no purely Ai generated work. The jobs are predominantly print but there are digital projects in the pipeline (virtual tours and user interfaces for digital wayfinding)

Line editor for non-fiction book about film
I'm looking for an experienced line editor, or two or three editors working in parallel, to help polish my next book. It is a data-led non-fiction guide to how part of the film business works. The first full draft is finished. The structure is settled, the research is done, and every figure and quotation has been checked against its source. The spelling is clean. Now it needs a good ear. I'd like the writing to: * read more naturally, more like one person talking to the reader; * lose any waffle, repetition or stiff phrasing; * keep a consistent tone from chapter to chapter. What the job is * A line edit for style, flow and concision. * Edits made in Track Changes in the Word files I send, with comments for anything you'd like me to decide. What the job isn't * Restructuring or developmental notes. The shape of the book is fixed. * Fact-checking. Figures, dates and quotations must stay exactly as they are. If something looks wrong, please leave a comment. * Proofreading for layout. That comes later. Practical details Length: about 150,000 words across 16 chapters, each standing on its own. Chapters range from about 5,000 to 25,000 words. British English, with a short style sheet that I'll provide. Who: I'm happy to work with one editor or to split the chapters between a few. If you can take the whole book, great. If you'd prefer a share, tell me how much. Timing: I'd like to start straight away, with chapters returned as you finish them, so I can work alongside you. Background: you don't need to know the film industry, but it would be a plus. In your proposal, please tell me: 1. Your price, for the whole book or per 10,000 words. The price listed on this ad doesn't mean anything, as it's not linked to a certain amount of work. That's for you to suggest from your experience, 2. How long it would take you, and how many words you could do in the first week. 3. A line or two about similar work you've done. 4. I get a lot of bots auto-applying and people who don't read the brief, so please confirm you are a human in the first line of the reply. Without that, I won't read the rest as I'll assume you didn't get to this bit of the ad! Thanks!

We have a number of mind body spirit titles to record
looking for a narrator who can deliver high quality audio - clear and soft English tones sensitive to the content please send us samples in the first place reading the following text - DEPRESSION IS A WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON. It covers a range of mental and emotional states, including anxiety, worry, low mood, insecurity, hopelessness and despair. It is something that affects us all, to a greater or lesser extent, at some stage or other in our life. It is no respecter of age, gender, ethnicity, or social position. Even children may experience it. This perhaps is not surprising as we are living in an age of unprecedented global, social, economic, political and environmental change. Some scientists are even talking about the end of the world as we know it within the next few years! Consequently, many people are feeling insecure, fragile, confused and under intense pressure in some, or all, areas of their life. These external pressures are often exacerbated by feelings of anger resulting from negative conditioning and/or traumatic experiences involving the people who were expected to provide us with love and support during our early years. Most people shy away from acknowledging these problems and so rarely seek help. Those who do, are offered a variety of therapies, which may include counselling, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), medication, psychiatry, rehabiltiation or hospitalisation. All of these, in one way or another, may help and indeed form an important part of dealing with a complex range of conditions or ‘states of being’. However, the spiritual aspect and its role in mental health disorders is often overlooked or neglected. In my opinion, it helps immensely if we can rediscover our spirit and reclaim our peace of mind. This key understanding is the backbone of this book.
