Root & Still, a UK brand selling hand carved Buddha statues and mindful home decor. I'm looking for a freelance writer to take on 20 gift guide articles across the autumn and Christmas season, and I'd like a quote for the full set. I've attached the brief. It covers all 20 articles with the angle, structure, word count, keywords, products and internal links for each, plus how we write and a price reference for the products. Please read it before quoting, since it should tell you exactly what the work involves and how much research each piece needs. What I'd like back: 1. Your quote for all 20, and your rate per article if you'd rather price it that way 2. Two or three samples in home, interiors, lifestyle or wellness 3. How many articles a week you could take on, and your earliest start date 4. Anything in the brief you'd push back on or would want changed The schedule matters. Articles 1 to 3 are needed in August and article 5 has to be live by the second week of September, so I'm looking for someone who can start soon. We'd begin with one paid article before committing to the rest, so we can both check the voice lands.

Employment Law Paralegal Needed for NHS Capability Appeal
I am seeking an experienced UK employment-law paralegal, litigation case-preparation specialist or similarly qualified professional to help prepare a comprehensive internal appeal following an NHS capability/dismissal process. This is not simply a proofreading or formatting task. I need someone who can review a substantial body of evidence, organise it logically and help turn it into a clear, persuasive, professionally structured appeal. The principal requirement is substantive case analysis, not document formatting. I need the appointed person to independently review the evidence and advise which material supports or undermines the employer’s findings, identify contradictions and procedural issues, and use that analysis to formulate and strengthen the grounds of appeal. Please do not apply solely on the basis of document design, administrative organisation or general research experience. Relevant UK employment casework, legal case preparation or comparable professional experience is required. The work is likely to include: reviewing correspondence, competency assessments, meeting records, policies and supporting evidence; preparing a detailed chronology; identifying inconsistencies, contradictions and evidential gaps; mapping evidence against each ground of appeal; distinguishing factual evidence from assertion; helping structure and draft the appeal document; creating an indexed and paginated evidence bundle; ensuring the appeal cross-references accurately to the supporting evidence. Experience of UK employment disciplinary, capability or dismissal cases is essential. Experience of NHS employment matters, healthcare capability cases, professional regulation, HCPC matters or complex internal appeals would be particularly valuable. Strong analytical skills are more important to me than document design. I am looking for someone who can interrogate the evidence and help construct the case, rather than simply make the document look professional. The completed work may later be reviewed by an employment solicitor or barrister. Please include in your proposal: your relevant employment-law or litigation experience; any NHS/healthcare or professional-regulatory experience; examples of similar appeal or evidence-bundle work; your qualifications; your availability over the next few days; whether you charge hourly or prefer a fixed project fee. This is a confidential matter and all documents will need to be handled accordingly. UK employment-law experience essential.Strong knowledge and practical experience of UK employment law, disciplinary/capability procedures and dismissal appeals is essential. Applicants may be based anywhere, provided they have demonstrable experience of UK cases.
3 days ago7 proposalsRemoteI need a manuscript turning in to a children's book
Project Overview and Context: - I am creating a one-off, professionally designed family keepsake as a new-baby gift for my sister. She used to record imaginative audio bedtime stories for her nephews, and I have developed four of those stories into a book entitled The Adventures of Kitchen Island. The book is personal and non-commercial: it is not being prepared for a publisher or for public sale. - There are a total of 4 books, and 34 chapters in total. There will be an image for each chapter and a cover image. All should be AI generated according to the detailed image guidelines in the manuscript. Project Objective: - Transform the completed manuscript into a beautiful, print-ready illustrated children’s book, then manage the process through to the delivery of one high-quality physical copy. The finished book should feel warm, timeless and gift-worthy, while preserving the stories’ original family voice and character details. Scope of Work: - Creative direction: Review the manuscript, consolidated illustration ideas and series illustration guidelines; propose an overall visual approach, book format and indicative page plan. AI illustration: - Generate, select and refine original artwork for the cover and interior, maintaining consistent characters, teddies, locations, props, palette and storybook style across all four stories. Artwork should be classic watercolour, in bright colours. Book design: - Design the cover and interior; place text and artwork; tidy up typography, spacing and hierarchy; and prepare an attractive, readable layout suitable for children and reading aloud. Production preparation: - Confirm final trim size, binding, paper and finish; complete image-quality and pre-press checks; and supply print-ready files that meet the selected printer’s specifications. Printer selection and management: - Research appropriate UK suppliers that can produce a single premium copy, recommend a supplier, obtain approval before ordering, submit the files and manage production and delivery. Creative Requirements: - The manuscript contains specific illustration ideas for each chapter and detailed consistency guidelines. Please keep the established appearance and relative heights of Monty, Rex and Wills and the correct pairing of each boy with his teddy. - Develop a coherent visual language that feels as though one illustrator created every image. - Allow for review checkpoints before producing the full set. Deliverables: - Full cost breakdown, including any third-party print costs. - Visual concept for approval. - Final cover and fully designed interior, including all approved illustrations. - Print-ready PDF files for the selected printer, plus a lower-resolution review PDF and packaged editable source files. - Ordering and delivery of one finished copy.
18 hours ago35 proposalsRemoteVideo Editor for Horror & Mystery YouTube Channel
Horror / Mystery YouTube Video Editor I run a growing YouTube channel focused on disturbing stories, internet mysteries, rabbit holes, unexplained events, and unsettling corners of the internet. The style is inspired by creators like Nexpo, Nick Crowley, Farrell McGuire, Lazy Masquerade, and ScareTheater. I’m looking for an editor who can create atmospheric, high-quality, immersive videos in this niche. What I Need I will handle the story research and final narration myself. Once I have the story and record the narration, I will send everything to you. Your job will be to turn it into a complete, polished YouTube video. This includes: Finding suitable b-roll, images, videos, screenshots, and other visual assets Generating assets with AI when appropriate Creating or sourcing visuals that fit the story and atmosphere Editing the narration and visuals together Adding subtle motion, effects, transitions, text, and visual layering Using appropriate background music and sound effects Creating a dark, cinematic, unsettling atmosphere Maintaining good pacing and visual variety without over-editing I’m looking for story-driven editing, where the visuals support the narration rather than distract from it. The final result should feel polished, immersive, and professional. Editing Style I’m not looking for flashy editing or constant effects. I want something atmospheric, cinematic, mysterious, and occasionally unsettling. Think of the visual storytelling and pacing used by channels such as Nexpo, Nick Crowley, Farrell McGuire, Lazy Masquerade, and ScareTheater, while still allowing you to develop your own style. You can use any editing software you prefer. The important thing is the final result, not the program you use. You should have access to a capable laptop or computer suitable for video editing. AI Use I have no problem with AI being used as part of your workflow, including for generating visuals, provided it is used creatively and appropriately. AI should be a tool to improve the production, not a replacement for creativity and editing skills. Compensation & Long-Term Opportunity The channel is currently not monetized, and I’m funding the project myself. For now, the payment is $10 per completed video. My goal is to monetize the channel and turn this into a permanent position. Once the channel starts generating revenue, I intend to increase the compensation accordingly. I’m looking for someone who wants to grow with the channel rather than someone interested in a one-off project. If you enjoy creating dark, atmospheric videos and want to grow alongside a YouTube channel from its early stages, I’d love to hear from you. More details about the workflow and collaboration can be discussed privately or on a call.

22 days ago60 proposalsRemoteOn-page SEO for a small Shopify store
We run Northbridge Candle Co., a handmade candle and home fragrance brand on Shopify. The store has been live for about a year, we have ~30 SKUs, and organic traffic has been flat for months. We're looking for someone to handle on-page SEO for our homepage and 6 core product pages as a first small project. What we need delivered: Keyword research — 1 primary and 2–3 secondary keywords per page, based on real search volume and buyer intent (not just guessing). Rewritten title tags, meta descriptions and H1s that actually reflect the keywords. Product descriptions rewritten or edited so keywords sit naturally in the copy — no stuffing, our brand voice needs to survive. Image alt text for all product images. A short internal linking plan showing which pages should link to which and why. A one-page summary of everything that was changed and the reasoning. Delivery in a shared Google Doc so we can review before publishing. We'll implement on our side, unless you'd prefer to push the changes directly through Shopify (either works). We already have Google Search Console and GA4 set up and can share access. We're based in the US market, English only. Why this is worth your time even though the scope is small: We're deliberately starting with a small paid test project. We have a real ongoing SEO roadmap planned for Q1 — blog content (2–4 posts per month), off-page/link building, and SEO for two new product lines launching in January. If this first round is solid, we'd move straight into a monthly retainer with the same person. In your bid please include: - 1–2 examples of similar e-commerce or Shopify SEO work you've done (screenshots or links are fine) - Your suggested approach for our 7 pages - Realistic delivery timeline Timeline for this first project: ideally 7–10 days from kickoff. Thanks for reading — looking forward to your proposals.

Rafft Wellness _ https://rafftwellness.gumroad.com/ About Rafft Wellness Rafft Wellness is a growing wellness business with a range of digital products available for sale through Gumroad. We understand our products and the market we are targeting. Our priority now is finding the right person to take responsibility for the practical work of getting our products in front of potential customers and generating sales. As the business owner, I want to concentrate primarily on product creation and developing the business, rather than spending large amounts of time managing social media, learning Google Ads or constantly researching marketing opportunities. The Role We are looking for a hands-on freelance Growth Marketing & Partnerships Manager to help drive awareness, traffic and sales for Rafft Wellness. This is not primarily a strategy or consultancy role. We are looking for someone who is prepared to actively do the work, identify opportunities and implement marketing activity rather than simply providing recommendations for us to carry out ourselves. The successful person will ideally become an extension of the business and take responsibility for developing practical, affordable and scalable ways of reaching our target audience. We are open to carefully managed paid advertising where it makes commercial sense however, we do not want to immediately commit to large Google or Meta advertising budgets. If paid advertising is used, we would want it to be: Carefully targeted Tested with sensible budgets Measurable Scaled only when it demonstrates a positive return What We Are NOT Looking For We are not looking for someone whose entire service consists of: Posting generic content on social media every day Increasing follower numbers without generating sales Producing a marketing strategy that we then have to implement ourselves Recommending large advertising budgets without evidence that they will work Providing generic marketing advice We want a practical, commercially minded marketer who gets things done. The Ideal Person We would particularly like to hear from freelancers with experience in: Growth marketing Customer acquisition Affiliate marketing Partnership marketing Influencer outreach Digital products E-commerce Wellness, lifestyle or consumer brands Email marketing Performance marketing You should be comfortable working independently, identifying opportunities and taking action. We don't want to have to tell you every day what marketing activity to carry out. We are looking for someone proactive who can take ownership of the marketing process while keeping us informed about progress and results. How We Would Like to Work We are a small startup, so affordability and scalability are important. We would ideally like to begin with an initial trial period or defined project so that we can establish whether we work well together. If the relationship is successful and marketing activity begins generating positive results, we would be interested in developing this into an ongoing working relationship. We are open to discussing the most suitable structure, whether that is: A fixed monthly number of hours A monthly retainer Specific marketing projects A combination of a modest fixed fee and performance-related incentives where appropriate Our priority is finding someone who can provide real value and practical execution at a level appropriate for an early-stage business. When Applying Please tell us: What practical marketing work you would personally carry out for a business like Rafft Wellness. Your experience generating sales, leads or customers for small businesses or digital products. Examples of affiliate, partnership, influencer or growth campaigns you have personally managed. Which parts of the marketing process you would be able to take completely off our hands. How you normally work with small businesses on an ongoing basis. Your proposed pricing structure. How much time you would realistically need each month to make a meaningful difference. Examples of measurable results you have achieved for previous clients. Please do not send a generic proposal. We are specifically looking for a hands-on marketing professional who can take responsibility for implementing marketing activity, allowing the business owner to concentrate on creating and developing products.
6 days ago20 proposalsRemoteSeeking a Registered Barristers Legal Opinion
I am seeking assistance with a narrowly defined legal opinion concerning a new UK start-up product being developed under the law of England and Wales. MANORIAL HOUSE is developing a Heritable Lordship Style-Title, structured as a modern private contractual product associated with a researched historic English manor. Importantly, the Product does not purport to sell, restore or re-establish the original historic lordship, land, manorial rights, peerage, nobility, Crown dignity or public office. The operative rights arise from a private Deed of Covenant, Grant and Assignment and are expressly described as modern contractual rights. The full document suite has already undergone an independent legal consultancy review, including the operative Deed, consumer terms and conditions, prospective purchaser information and wording, succession arrangements, purchase letter and certificate. A separate independent legal assessment has also considered the specific terminology used for the Style-Title in relation to the question below, however they were not registered. I am now seeking a formally instructed practising barrister to provide an independent opinion on the narrower underlying question: Whether, under the law of England and Wales, there is any legal impediment to a company creating and granting by private deed a modern contractual style in the form “Lord of [Place] or Lord of the Manor of [Place]”, where it is expressly distinguished from ownership of the historic Lordship of the Manor and from any peerage, Crown dignity, nobility, manorial property right or official status. I would particularly welcome Counsel's opinion on whether “Lord of [Place]” is legally preferable to “Lord of the Manor of [Place]” for maintaining that distinction, having regard to contract law, manorial/property law, misrepresentation, passing off and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. I am not asking Counsel to certify ownership of any historic lordship or undertake historical title verification. If the conclusion is supportive, I would also require a short approved public-facing summary which may accurately be shown to customers as evidence that the legal structure and terminology have been independently considered by practising Counsel. This is a personally funded pre-launch business and legal due diligence is being undertaken before the Product is offered to the public/launched. I am therefore exploring whether this narrowly scoped opinion might be suitable for pro bono or reduced-fee assistance. I have attached: 1. the existing independent legal consultancy review on the full document suite (note all reccomendations have been implemented); 2. the separate independent legal opinion on the Style-Title terminology; 3. a short briefing document on the product and company. 4. website: www.manorialhouse.co.uk I can further provide if required: 1. the operative Deed of Covenant, Grant and Assignment; and 2. prospective customer information guide I would be very grateful if you could let me know whether this is within your scope, confirm your credentials and fee. This may lead to future work. Kind regards, Daniel Ruscoe
