Android Device Owner/Kiosk Mode Specialist — OEM Provisioning
*Looking for UK registered companies only* About StockMyShop StockMyShop Ltd (Company No. 17160242) is a UK-based consumer technology company developing a smart home pantry management system. The product is a retail-ready hardware-software bundle consisting of a dedicated kiosk tablet, a wireless barcode scanner, and a mobile companion app. The StockMyShop application is already fully built and operational. We are not looking for an app developer — we are looking for a specialist who can make a standard Android tablet behave as a locked-down, branded appliance straight out of the box. What We Need: We need an experienced Android kiosk/MDM specialist to deliver the following: * Configure Android Device Owner (or equivalent MDM) kiosk mode on our OEM tablet — single app, no home button, no notifications, no system UI * Coordinate with our OEM manufacturer in China to apply the kiosk profile at the factory, so every unit ships to customers already locked down * Ensure the barcode scanner is Bluetooth pre-paired to the tablet at the factory — no user setup required * Implement auto-boot into the app after power loss and auto-restart if the app crashes * Set up a remote OTA update mechanism so we can push app updates to deployed devices without customer involvement * Optionally: wrap our web app in a native Android/iOS shell for Play Store and App Store submission What Is Already Built: * Full StockMyShop web application (inventory management, barcode scanning, expiry alerts, meal planning, real-time sync) * Cloud backend (Base44 platform — REST API, real-time database) * Mobile companion app (currently web-based, responsive) What We Are NOT Looking For: * General Android or web developers learning kiosk mode for the first time * Agencies — individual specialist or small specialist team only * Day-rate arrangements — this must be a fixed-price milestone contract Contract Structure: Fixed-price, milestone-based. Five milestones from contract signing to production sign-off. Full developer brief including scope, technical environment, QA acceptance criteria, and milestone payment schedule is available under NDA on request. Target Timeline: 10–12 weeks from contract start To Apply, Please Include: 1. Your experience with Android Device Owner / kiosk mode — specific projects, not general claims 2. Your experience coordinating with OEM manufacturers for factory provisioning 3. Your proposed MDM/kiosk solution and why you'd recommend it for this use case 4. A fixed-price quote or indicative range 5. References or examples from similar hardware-software integration projects Applications that do not address all five points above will not be considered.

I’m looking for someone who can become the voice of our engineering team during the U.S. workday (9 AM-5 PM EST). You’ll hop on several video or phone calls with our American client, listen to the issues they raise about the software-development process, and respond on the spot with well-reasoned, technically sound guidance. Because the conversations often stray deep into AI/ML territory, advanced expertise in machine learning is mandatory. Your background in both web and backend development will also help you translate business pain points into practical engineering tasks the rest of the team can execute. Clear, confident English is absolutely essential—you’ll be expected to lead discussions, ask probing questions, and persuade stakeholders toward the best technical path forward. I already work with U.S. companies regularly, so the cadence is fast and direct; you should feel at home in that setting. Key deliverables each day: • Real-time participation in every scheduled client call • Concise written summary of each discussion (action items, decisions, blockers) sent within an hour after the meeting • Immediate escalation of any critical risk or requirement change to our internal Slack Success is measured by the client’s continued satisfaction, the accuracy of the information you relay, and the clarity of your written summaries. If you thrive on rapid-fire dialogue, enjoy bridging business and deep tech, and can remain on call throughout the EST workday, let’s get started.

9 days ago92 proposalsRemoteHubSpot CMS (HubL) Developer – Custom Quote Template
Experience with HubSpot CMS (HubL) is essential, this is not a general CMS or WordPress project. Please include examples of HubSpot CMS or quote/template work, generic web projects won’t be considered. We’re looking for an experienced HubSpot developer to help us build a custom quote template that goes beyond HubSpot’s standard functionality. This is not a simple styling task — we want to create a more premium, proposal-style quote experience that better reflects our brand and improves conversion. The core requirement Our key requirement is the ability to dynamically display room-specific content within quotes, based on what a client has on hold. For example: If a specific room is selected → show that room’s images and description If multiple rooms are selected → display each clearly If a floor takeover is selected → present this as a single, joined-up experience This needs to be data-driven and scalable, not manually built each time. What we’re looking to build A custom HubSpot quote that: Feels premium, modern and on-brand Visually showcases the spaces being quoted Clearly presents pricing and inclusions Is structured, clean and easy to scan Works seamlessly for an internal team (not overly complex) Scope We’re looking for someone who can: Advise on what is realistically possible within HubSpot quotes Recommend the best approach (CMS / HubL vs alternatives) Build a custom quote template using HubSpot CMS / HubL Pull through deal, product and room data dynamically Ensure the solution is scalable and maintainable Important This must work within HubSpot (we want to avoid adding external tools if possible) We manage ~60 rooms, so the solution needs to scale Content (images, descriptions) should be centrally managed The goal is to reduce manual work, not increase it To apply Please include: Examples of similar work Especially custom HubSpot templates or quote/proposal builds Links or screenshots preferred Your recommended approach (brief) How you would handle dynamic content (e.g. room images/descriptions) Any limitations we should be aware of Rough estimate Ballpark hours or cost range Ideally split into: MVP version More advanced version Additional context We are a London-based meeting and event space business (Wallacespace), selling ~60 rooms and larger event spaces. This is part of a broader move to improve: client experience data quality automation within HubSpot Budget Open= looking for the right approach and partner rather than the lowest cost.
a month ago32 proposalsRemoteResearch & assess whether events will disrupt treasure hunts
# Background We run 16 self-guided treasure hunts in cities across the UK. Customers play the treasure hunts on their phones, following fixed routes through public streets, parks, squares and city-centre areas while finding clues in their surroundings. Occasionally, an event in a city can disrupt a game. Examples include parades, protests, markets, festivals, filming and large sporting events. These events may block access to clues, streets, landmarks, squares, or other public spaces used in the game. We monitor upcoming events so we can decide whether to: * block customers from booking on dates with serious disruptions, or * warn customers that something potentially disruptive is happening. This matters because if players cannot access part of the route, they may call us during the game (which is stressful to handle), assume the game is broken, or abandon their game altogether. Different disruptions have different levels of impact: * If the start of the game or a clue location is inaccessible, we may need to block bookings or modify the game. * If a square is closed but there is no clue in it, players can often go around it. In that case, we would usually warn them rather than block the game. # Trial task This task is to assess whether 3 events would disrupt our games. This is a trial task. If successful, we are looking for ongoing support with this task and other admin and operations tasks. Below are 3 events in Bristol and York. The task is to research and assess whether these events will disrupt the treasure hunt route in the relevant city. Use the event information, route maps, and your own web research needed to make your decision. Event 1: (Bristol): https://www.bristolharbourfestival.co.uk/ Event 2: (Bristol): https://www.lovesavestheday.org/ Event 3: (York): https://www.futuresoundgroup.com/post/self-esteem-announced-as-live-at-york-museum-gardens-headliner # Recommend an action for each event For each event, review the event details, the route map, and any other reliable sources you can find. Then recommend one of the following 4 actions: 1. Warn players Recommend this when the event affects part of the route, but players should still be able to complete the game. For example: * the area may be busier than usual * players may need to take a small diversion * part of the route may be less convenient, but no clue locations seem to be affected Please write a short message that will be shown to players that book this date, e.g. “The Yorkshire Marathon is on, making the city busier than usual.” 2. Escalate to Paul & Ian Recommend this when the event may affect one or more clue locations, block access to a key part of the route, or make the game difficult or impossible to complete. If you recommend escalating it, explain clearly: * which part of the route is affected * whether any clue locations appear to be affected * why you think the disruption is serious * what information you used to reach that conclusion We will then decide whether to modify the game, warn players, or block customers from booking. 3. No action needed Recommend this when the event does not appear to affect the route in any meaningful way. Briefly explain why you think it is unlikely to disrupt the game. 4. More information needed Recommend this when the event might disrupt the game, but there is not enough information yet to decide confidently. Explain: * why it might cause a disruption * which part of the route may be affected * what information is missing * what you would do next to confirm it For example, the next step may be checking with the organiser, checking with the local council, or waiting for a route map or road closure notice to be published. # Deliverables Please deliver the work as a Google Doc. For each of the 3 events, provide: 1. Recommended action: Warn players / Escalate to us / No action needed / More information needed 2. Notes: an explanation of why you reached that recommendation, including which part of the route may be affected, if relevant 3. Source links: links to any pages, maps, event websites, council pages, road closure notices, or other sources used to understand the event # Additional resources If selected, we will also provide: * these instructions in Google Docs format * full route maps showing clue locations * a worked example of how we normally approach this task # The priority is accuracy It is important that this task is done precisely. Our priority is accuracy over speed. For that reason we are looking for a careful, detail-oriented human (and definitely not someone just using AI!) # Time limit: 3 hours If you reach 3 hours, please stop and give us your notes so far. It's not a problem, we just want to understand how you work. Thank you! Paul & Ian Founders
