About StockMyShop
StockMyShop Ltd (Company No. 17160242) is a UK-based consumer technology company developing a smart home pantry management system. The product is a retail-ready hardware-software bundle consisting of a dedicated kiosk tablet, a wireless barcode scanner, and a mobile companion app.
The StockMyShop application is already fully built and operational. We are not looking for an app developer — we are looking for a specialist who can make a standard Android tablet behave as a locked-down, branded appliance straight out of the box.
What We Need:
We need an experienced Android kiosk/MDM specialist to deliver the following:
* Configure Android Device Owner (or equivalent MDM) kiosk mode on our OEM tablet — single app, no home button, no notifications, no system UI
* Coordinate with our OEM manufacturer in China to apply the kiosk profile at the factory, so every unit ships to customers already locked down
* Ensure the barcode scanner is Bluetooth pre-paired to the tablet at the factory — no user setup required
* Implement auto-boot into the app after power loss and auto-restart if the app crashes
* Set up a remote OTA update mechanism so we can push app updates to deployed devices without customer involvement
* Optionally: wrap our web app in a native Android/iOS shell for Play Store and App Store submission
What Is Already Built:
* Full StockMyShop web application (inventory management, barcode scanning, expiry alerts, meal planning, real-time sync)
* Cloud backend (Base44 platform — REST API, real-time database)
* Mobile companion app (currently web-based, responsive)
What We Are NOT Looking For:
* General Android or web developers learning kiosk mode for the first time
* Agencies — individual specialist or small specialist team only
* Day-rate arrangements — this must be a fixed-price milestone contract
Contract Structure:
Fixed-price, milestone-based. Five milestones from contract signing to production sign-off. Full developer brief including scope, technical environment, QA acceptance criteria, and milestone payment schedule is available under NDA on request.
Target Timeline: 10–12 weeks from contract start
