We are seeking a skilled freelancer to manage the editing, production, and promotion of The Responsible Edge podcast (https://theresponsibleedge.com/). This role involves overseeing the full post-production workflow to ensure each episode is professionally published, optimised, and effectively promoted. You will help us maintain a consistent schedule of two episodes per week, maximising the podcast's reach and impact. Responsibilities: Podcast Editing & Production: Edit video recordings (recorded on Streamyard) to include intro/outro segments, transitions, and episode branding. Create visually appealing thumbnail images for each episode. Extract and edit audio for publication on major platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. Optimise titles, descriptions, and tags for all platforms to increase discoverability. Generate transcriptions of each episode for accessibility and repurposing. Content Creation & Article Writing: Use transcriptions of the podcast conversations to create engaging, well-written articles summarising key insights from each episode. Collaborate with generative AI tools to streamline article creation while ensuring high-quality, polished output. Example of required article format: How the Berlin Wall Shaped a New Approach to Sustainability. Promotion & Social Media Management: Promote episodes across our LinkedIn and Twitter profiles with compelling captions and visuals. Create a monthly newsletter in Campaign Monitor to highlight new episodes and insights, driving engagement and listenership. Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely promotion of each episode. Additional Tasks: Provide feedback on potential improvements to workflows or promotional strategies. Maintain a high standard of quality and brand alignment across all deliverables. Keep up to date with trends in podcasting and digital marketing to suggest innovative ideas for growth. Requirements: Proven experience in podcast editing, production, and promotion. Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, GarageBand). Familiarity with podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube) and social media management. Strong writing and content creation skills with an ability to summarise key ideas in engaging ways. Experience with generative AI tools for content creation (preferred). Knowledge of Campaign Monitor or similar email marketing platforms. Deliverables Per Week: 2 fully edited podcast episodes (video and audio). 2 published articles summarising the episodes. Social media posts and newsletter updates promoting the episodes. I seek an experienced podcast specialist to provide post-production support for an ongoing weekly series. The podcast is about food. Primary responsibilities include editing a 30-minute podcast episode to ensure high audio quality and smooth transitions between segments. Transcription of the full recording is also required. Next, the edited podcast must be distributed to multiple podcast directories and networks to expand the available audience. Additional promotional duties encompass creating two social media updates per week highlighting the latest episode. A standard posting template will be provided to maintain branding consistency across platforms. I am looking for someone to sound design and edit a podcast due to be released later this year. In the podcast, there are multiple voices and tracks, extracts from multiple pre-recorded interviews (4 to 6) are combined and two co-hosts open and close the podcast, and provide scripted narration across the episode. I am looking for someone who is comfortable working with multiple tracks to assemble the audio and package the podcast professionally with relevant music and ambient sounds. Podcast Editor and Video Editor with clips (retainer)
I record, product and edit my own podcasts. However time is a struggle and I'm seeking an assistant to do this work on a retainer moving forward. The amount of content I have will vary from month to month so the retainer will need to float. As I presently do my own my brief is as follows: Audio will be provided in near perfect format. The intro entry and exit voiceover will be provided and very rarely does and slicing of the podcast order need dealing with. I do this via garageband, export to MP3 and upload to soundcloud. Really simple. Video. We have three static cameras. We have a basic intro and exit that is added to the video in final cut. The audio (from garageband) is then overlaid and the three camera angles aligned (timing wise). Will then spend 10/15 mins in final cut changing the angle from guest camera to host camera depending on whos talking. I do this by scrolling at a reasonable speed over the guests camera (who speak the most) and seeing when they aren't talking (and slicing in the host). This is then uploaded to our YouTube Channel. The final part which I may keep doing or pass on is to upload the video to opus clip pro for it to generate 2 or 3 reels/clips for social media content. At present we handle the social media content - but are open to assistance. We have 2 active podcast/video channels and a third that is less active. Please could you read brief, provide thoughts on how you can help and shape what we are doing.
