Junior Marketing Strategist
Junior Marketing Strategist (3-Month Project with Potential for Full-Time Hire) Location: Southwark, London (Hybrid with min. 3 days/week in-office) Company: Stealth Startup in AI We are a young startup working to empower everyone in the world to become an innovator. We are seeking a high-energy Junior Marketing Strategist to supercharge our user acquisition and build a solid foundation for market success. You will be working side by side with the founders, and will be instrumental in crafting a high-velocity growth strategy, executing targeted campaigns, and creating conversion-focused content to drive sign-ups and engagement. Achieving success in this project will mean the opportunity to join the team in a full-time role, with all the benefits of being a founding employee. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement a growth-driven marketing strategy for user acquisition pre and post-product launch, using a combination of traditional and growth hacking tactics. 2. Spearhead a high-intensity, three-month, coordinated outreach campaign to generate sign-ups, leveraging influencers, social media, and other channels. 3. Analyze and identify the most effective channels for user acquisition and retention, focusing on optimizing the cost per acquisition (CAC) and maximizing ROI. 4. Create and manage the development of lead magnet landing pages with waiting lists, engaging promotional videos, and social media posts to create buzz and drive conversions. 5. Coordinate with content creators and designers to ensure timely delivery of compelling marketing materials that resonate with our target audience. 6. Formulate an email marketing strategy, including segmentation, onboarding sequences, and content that nurtures leads into active users. 7. Monitor and report on campaign performance with a focus on continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making. Qualifications: - 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role, with exposure to growth hacking and funnel optimization. - Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that have led to measurable growth. - Experience in creating and managing content across various platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn. - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. - Exceptional communication and project management skills. - Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and a 'get things done' attitude. - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferable, but your track record and attitude will have a lot more weight. The Role: Our Senior Paid Advertising Strategists are true experts in their field who harness experience and innovation to deliver exceptional results for key B2B and B2C clients across paid search, display and social advertising. You must be a confident communicator with proven experience managing or consulting on large scale paid advertising campaigns. You need to be comfortable feeding into multichannel strategies, managing client expectations, coaching junior team members, reporting on performance and setting / optimising account strategies. You may be asked to operate as a paid lead for a key client, to triage the strategy for an existing client, to consult with a client who is learning to run their own PPC, or to assist The Brains Group with our own paid advertising. We are looking for someone with flexibility who is happy to scale hours up or down, with an agreed base minimum each week. Core responsibilities: - Develop, execute and optimise cutting-edge paid advertising campaigns, from conception to launch - Onboard new paid media clients and nurture those relationships, keeping a close eye on client retention and ensuring that clients receive an exceptional quality of service - Evaluate campaign performance based on clear KPIs, and report confidently on a weekly and monthly basis, either via call, video call or email, to client stakeholders - Actively recommend account improvements, constantly look for ways to further boost account performance and ensure strong client engagement - Flag any concerns with account performance, troubleshoot alongside the Head of Strategy and Client Services Manager, work hard to ensure retention and satisfaction of your clients - Be the account lead for your designated key clients - this means operating as the main client point of contact, ensuring all members of the account team are feeding into the monthly report, being aware of overall account performance and liaising with the Head of Strategy about any concerns you have over account performance, or any opportunities to provide additional services and support for that client. You are the advocate for that client and should work carefully on building up a trusting and supportive relationship with the client representative(s) - Support the Head of Strategy and Managing Director with new sales opportunities, by attending introductory and proposal calls with prospective clients and feeding into proposal decks. Be prepared to present slides on your area, what strategies you recommend, and what potential ROI could look like (you don’t have to attend sales calls alone, or act as point person for new opportunities, you’ll be operating as part of a sales team run by the Managing Director or Head of Strategy) - Work cross-departmentally, to align campaign strategies and goals on multichannel clients - Train/support junior team members where necessary, providing support on tricky account challenges, recommending additional strategies and advising on the correct approach if the junior is unclear Skills and experience: - 5+ years as a paid media strategist, paid advertising manager or paid account manager - Proven experience creating, managing and optimising Google Ads, Performance Max, LinkedIn and Meta campaigns - Comfortable setting up, consulting on or taking over paid client account teams and ensuring that deliverables stay on track - Excellent oral communications skills - Very strong written communication skills and email comms skills - Strong experience producing reports and explaining them to clients - Happy to chat on the phone, comfortable calling clients - Well-organised and efficient, good time management and prioritisation skills. - Team player who likes to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate across teams
