We’re looking for an experienced freelance WordPress developer to provide support with our existing company website. Our website is built using a bespoke WordPress CMS, so the successful freelancer will need to be comfortable working within an existing, customised WordPress framework rather than using a standard off-the-shelf theme or rebuilding the site from scratch. We’re an architecture practice and are looking for someone who can help with a small number of immediate improvements, with the potential for ongoing support as and when required. The role may start relatively slowly while we establish the process and ensure the quality of interactions is right. Once established, we expect you to work increasingly independently and drive the process forward. You will have a weekly meeting with a Director to review activity, pipeline, results and priorities. Pay & Commission The role will be paid at an agreed hourly rate, together with a healthy performance-based commission. You will receive a minimum £100 commission for each first-time survey instruction we complete directly as a result of a new referrer you have personally identified, developed and converted. This is designed to directly reward initiative and measurable results. The Ideal Person We are looking for someone who is proactive, results driven, commercially minded, confident on the telephone, a strong written communicator, naturally good at building rapport, organised, persistent without being overly pushy and comfortable working independently. We are less interested in generic sales experience alone and more interested in someone who understands residential property, can communicate credibly with estate agents, solicitors and other professionals, and has the initiative to turn opportunities into genuine commercial relationships.
