Full-Stack Developer Wanted for UK Primary Education Platform
I am looking for a UK-based freelance full-stack developer to help build the next stage of an established UK education business. The aim is to develop a modern, subscription-based educational web platform for UK primary pupils and their parents. The initial product will focus primarily on Years 3–6, with particular emphasis on Year 6 SATs. The Platform The proposed platform will have seven main areas: Dashboard – overview of a child's learning, activity and recommended next steps Learn – curriculum content organised by Year → Subject → Topic → Lesson Practice – teacher-created interactive questions with automatic marking and explanations Studio – searchable educational video library linked to curriculum topics Insights – progress tracking and parent-friendly learning analytics Ask TTT – AI-supported explanations and personalised practice Papers – SATs papers, mark schemes and assessment resources Parents will eventually be able to create accounts, add child profiles and monitor their children's learning and progress. Content Management A key requirement is an easy-to-use admin/content management system. I need to be able to independently manage educational content including: Year groups and subjects Curriculum topics Lessons Questions and answers Teacher explanations Videos Practice sets Assessment resources Routine educational content updates should not require developer involvement. Who I'm Looking For I am particularly interested in working with a UK-based freelance full-stack developer who is available for ongoing development work. Relevant experience may include: React / Next.js TypeScript / JavaScript Node.js or similar backend technologies PostgreSQL or similar databases User authentication Subscription payment integration API integration AI/LLM integration SaaS/dashboard development Responsive web applications Content management systems Experience developing EdTech, SaaS, subscription or AI-enabled products would be particularly valuable. I am open to recommendations regarding the exact technology stack. Development Approach I am not looking to build the entire platform at once. The aim is to create a lean MVP and develop it incrementally through clearly defined milestones. An indicative development roadmap is: Stage 1: User accounts, child profiles, curriculum structure, admin system and initial dashboard Stage 2: Learn and Studio Stage 3: Question database, Practice and automatic marking Stage 4: Progress tracking and Insights Stage 5: Ask TTT and AI integration Stage 6: Subscriptions, Papers and further development I am open to recommendations regarding the order of development if there is a more efficient technical approach. My initial development budget is approximately £1,000 per month, and I anticipate ongoing freelance development work over 6+ months, subject to progress and agreed milestones. The scope of each milestone will therefore need to be realistic and agreed in advance. What I Will Provide I will provide the educational and product expertise, including: UK primary curriculum knowledge Educational content Questions and answers Video content Product direction User testing Access to an existing audience for beta testing I am looking for a developer who can complement this with the technical expertise required to turn the concept into a scalable web application. Good communication is particularly important. I would like someone who is comfortable discussing ideas, suggesting improvements and explaining technical decisions clearly. When Applying Please include: A brief introduction and where in the UK you are based. Your experience developing SaaS, EdTech or similar web applications. Your recommended technology stack for this project. Your experience with subscription payments, authentication, databases and AI/LLM APIs. Your hourly rate and approximate monthly availability. What approximately £1,000 per month would realistically provide in development time. What you would recommend building as the first MVP milestone. Any challenges you can already identify with the proposed product. Please avoid generic proposals. I am particularly interested in understanding how you would approach this specific project. I am looking for a freelance developer who is available for ongoing development work over 6+ months, with the platform developed incrementally through agreed milestones.
11 days ago54 proposalsRemoteUK Construction Business Development Specialist
Sphere Construction Partnership is seeking an experienced, UK-based business development and lead-generation specialist to establish and maintain a consistent pipeline of suitable construction opportunities. We are an established construction company operating across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and surrounding areas. Our work includes domestic extensions, conversions, renovations and new builds, together with commercial, industrial and property-maintenance projects. This is not simply a list-building or data-entry assignment. We require someone who can research genuine opportunities, identify and contact decision-makers, develop relationships, qualify enquiries and arrange meetings, surveys or tender opportunities. Key responsibilities will include: • Identifying suitable live construction projects, planning applications and tender opportunities • Contacting architects, quantity surveyors, building surveyors, developers and property professionals • Approaching landlords, letting agents, property managers and organisations with property portfolios • Developing relationships with commercial clients and professional referrers • Identifying subcontract, framework and overflow opportunities from larger contractors • Contacting prospective clients by telephone and personalised email • Following up previous quotations and dormant enquiries • Qualifying each opportunity by scope, location, budget, timescale and decision-making authority • Maintaining an accurate CRM or shared pipeline • Providing a concise weekly activity and results report The successful freelancer must: • Be based in the United Kingdom • Have proven business-development, outbound-sales or appointment-setting experience • Ideally have experience within construction, property, building materials, facilities management or a related sector • Be confident making professional telephone calls to UK businesses • Have excellent written and spoken English • Be commercially aware and able to distinguish genuine opportunities from unsuitable or speculative enquiries • Be organised, persistent and comfortable working to measurable targets Applicants should explain: Their relevant construction, property or B2B sales experience How they would generate opportunities for Sphere during the first four weeks Which organisations and decision-makers they would target Examples of opportunities or appointments they have previously generated Their hourly rate and weekly availability Whether they are personally carrying out the work or using a team We propose an initial four-week trial of approximately 15 hours per week. If the trial produces a credible, properly qualified pipeline, this can develop into a substantial ongoing role and potentially a permanent position. Success will be measured by meaningful decision-maker conversations, qualified opportunities, meetings, surveys and tender invitations—not merely the number of names collected or emails sent. Please do not apply if your service consists solely of selling pre-existing lead lists, scraping generic contact details or sending high-volume automated emails.

a month ago56 proposalsRemoteFull-stack developer for a custom Next.js education web app
A full-stack developer to build two things from scratch: a web app, and a basic website that sits in front of it. We're building an education tool for students approaching a major professional exam. The web app supports their revision through practice questions, revision guides and the tools around them, so they can work through material, see where they went wrong, and understand which areas need more of their attention. We produce all the content ourselves and hand it to the app as JSON, so a good part of the work is taking that in cleanly and presenting it well. You wouldn't be writing any of it. The website is a simple front door. One main page explaining the product, a section holding the guides and resources, and the sign-up and login route into the app. The stack we have in mind Next.js with the App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind and PostgreSQL. Zod for validating the content we feed in, Stripe for payments and Auth.js for accounts. We're open to a conversation about any of it. How we'd work In phases, agreed one at a time, rather than settling one number for the whole thing up front. We don't expect you to be able to give us a quote at this stage, and we'd want to talk properly before anyone put a figure on anything. What we'd like to see Examples of your work, more than anything else. Please share a number of things you have personally built, ideally live so we can go and use them. That is what we will be judging on. Alongside those, let us know what your availability looks like over the next few months.
13 days ago89 proposalsRemoteReact / Next.js Front End Developer — Remote
We're building the new web version of our product and are looking for an experienced front-end developer to lead and support the rollout. You'll work primarily in React and Next.js, building the interfaces our customers use every day. The frontend integrates with a SQL Server database via a C# API — you won't be modifying the API or database directly, but you'll need to understand relational data and work comfortably against existing APIs. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and maintain UI features in React / Next.js - Consume and integrate with an existing C# REST API - Translate designs and requirements into performant, accessible, responsive interfaces - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code review - Collaborate with the wider team (and any backend/API developers) to flag issues, edge cases, or data needs WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 3-5+ years of professional front-end development experience - Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js (App Router / SSR / routing/data fetching patterns) - Solid JavaScript fundamentals; TypeScript experience strongly preferred - Strong HTML5 and modern CSS skills - Comfortable working with relational databases conceptually (you won't write SQL day-to-day, but should understand schemas, joins, and how data is structured) - Experience consuming REST APIs built by another team (ideally including .NET/C# APIs, but not essential) - Good communication skills — able to work async/remote and flag blockers early NICE TO HAVE - Experience with a component library/design system - Automated testing experience (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress) - Familiarity with CI/CD and Git-based workflows - Experience in construction, CRM, or B2B SaaS products LOGISTICS - Fully remote HOW TO APPLY When you apply, lead with relevant experience; tell me how you've shipped React or Next.js apps that tracked complex regional data and how you kept performance sharp. Links to repos or live products speak louder than a polished proposal.
