Music Composition Projects
Looking for freelance Music Composition jobs and project work? PeoplePerHour has you covered.
Record label visual identity, artwork etc...
We run two record labels, one established and a new self-releasing one. We are looking for a talented designer with great brand awareness and an understanding of how things should look in the house / electronic music scene to develop a colour palette, fonts, and image style which will define the look and feel of the label and our artwork on the new label. For the established label, we have artwork templates made by a former designer who supplied the template and instructions, but we need someone with the right skillset to work with this template, to create artwork and social media assets from it. After the initial setup of templates for both projects there will be small ongoing edits to account for our new releases, so we are looking for someone who is happy to do small edit jobs promptly as they are needed in future.

I am looking for a talented Sound Designer and Audio Editor to edit a high-quality audio version of a personal creative non-fiction essay titled "Dwelling." The piece (approx. 30 minutes) explores deep and sensitive themes. I have already recorded the English narration. I need a partner who can polish the vocal track and build an immersive, cinematic soundscape. This is not a standard corporate voiceover job. It is a piece of audio art. The soundscape should not just be "background music." It needs to be textured and atmospheric—using silence, ambient noise (e.g., distant London traffic, wind, subtle fire textures, museum ambience), and minimalism to support the narrator's voice, not overpower it. Key Responsibilities: Vocal Editing: Clean the raw English recording (remove breaths, mouth clicks, unwanted pauses) and ensure a consistent, warm, professional broadcast standard. Pacing & Rhythm: Adjust the timing of the narration to let the poignant moments breathe. You must have a strong grasp of narrative flow. Sound Design (The "Soundscape"): compose or curate sound effects and textures that match the imagery of the text. Mixing & Mastering: Deliver a final mix suitable for high-quality streaming/broadcast. Requirements: English Proficiency (Native/Bilingual Level): You must have excellent English listening skills to understand the subtle emotional inflections, irony, and gravity of the text. If you miss the nuance of a word, the sound design will be wrong. Creative Portfolio: You must provide examples of narrative work (audio drama, storytelling podcasts, radio documentaries, or artistic sound installations). Music production reels alone are not enough. Sensitivity: The subject matter is tragic and personal. The sound design must be respectful, never melodramatic or cheesy. To Apply: Please share 2-3 links to narrative audio projects you have designed. In your proposal, tell me briefly how you approach "silence" in a mix. Confirm your English proficiency level.

VFX/CGI/3D TRANSFORMATION OF SHORT VIDEO CLIPS
Transformation of old cars, replacement of number plates, updating old mobile phone, replacing wall curtains, and erasing round tax discs from windscreens are required across short video clips. These tasks involve VFX/CGI/3D compositing techniques to achieve seamless, photorealistic results that blend naturally into the original footage. The goal is to blend all elements with artistic and technical precision so the final result looks naturally captured in camera, without any visible signs of manipulation. This project requires frame by frame compositing with expert precision to ensure the final visuals appear natural, smooth, and indistinguishable from the original shots. Technical Requirements: • Work must preserve original picture quality, RGB, grading, motion, pacing, and cinemascope frame size • Output must remain in the same 4K DPX frame format as the original source with identical frame numbering as the originals. • Deliverables must include: o 4K DPX frames with correct frame numbering same as original source o 24fps 4K UHD video clip o 24fps 2K HD video clip o 24fps MP4 clip • VFX must be error free: no jerks, juddering, floating, or flickering. Playback must be seamless on large cinema screens. Quality Expectations: • Seamless integration with original footage from multiple camera angles. • Strict adherence to frame numbering for compatibility with master folders. • Preservation of original RGB values, frame speed (24fps), and cinemascope dimensions. • Final outputs must be professional, cinematic, and ready for big screen projection. The frame numbers on your final work must be the same as they appear on the original frames in our folders, otherwise we will not be able to mix your work in the sequence. This is a straightforward project for confident VFX/CGI/3D professionals. Successful completion will lead to long term regular work. Consultation and support will be available throughout the project. Freelancers may submit MP4 previews for approval before delivering full folders. Full instructions with marked reference images are provided in the attached PDF which you need to follow to complete this project. If you have any questions, please send me a message. Only freelancers who are able to demonstrate their skills on our provided clips should submit proposals. We will require a sample of your work on a short MP4 footage before awarding the project. CAD / CNC Specialist – Tube Slide Pattern Development
We’re looking for an experienced CAD / CNC specialist to work with us on developing accurate cutting patterns for tube slide sections that will be machined on our Mantech CNC flatbed router (specs and machine info attached). This is not a one-off file handover – we’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively with our in-house team via Doncaster, helping us build confidence that our machinery, setup, and workflow are optimised and production-ready. The first project may involve hands on work in Doncaster. The Project We design and manufacture tube slide components that are formed from CNC-cut patterns, primarily using MDF, model board or polystyrene. 16 days ago19 proposalsRemoteColour banding fix, posterisation fix, masking for short film
Objectives * The objective of this project is to tidy-up some of the scenes in a short film. Deliverables * To remove or reduce banding in some shots. To remove or reduce posterisation in other shots. And to mask a small object in a couple of other shots. If anything else is spotted during the ‘clean-up’ then we can take a view as to whether it is distracting enough to warrant a tidy up. This may include some colour grading to match existing shots once banding issues etc have been resolved. Timescale * To begin as soon as possible. This should hopefully not be a long process, but it would be important to ‘walk through’ the video with a view to picking up on any other spurious challenges. Much of the video is fine, but when it’s not fine, it is quite noticeable - particularly (as you might imagine) on larger screens. Hopefully everything should be easily completed within a week after the ‘walkthrough’. Spec * Editing to be done in Final Cut Pro if possible. That’s not absolutely essential. However any rendered file would need to be able to be imported and also edited in Final Cut Pro. Files should be rendered in 4k, highest bit rate possible. The file to be edited has already had some grading done. It’s not pro res footage. Context * This is a short zero budget Indie Film. Music, soundscape and pro audio have yet to be added. I’d like to do that after this work is done. The film itself is mystery/spooky/metaphorical and would probably be rated as no more than PG if it were in such a classification system. N.B. Re the aforementioned ‘walkthrough’, I would really like to talk through the film (which is circa 10 mins long) whilst pointing out what is specifically required. To that end, someone based in the Central Belt of Scotland would be preferred. Not absolutely essential but I think things would be smoother, easier, more straightforward that way. Yes that might mean meeting in a cafe and going over it. I’ll buy the coffee. And of course more details are available if required. Thank you

I’m looking for a talented and creative video editor to help shape a large volume of footage filmed over the course of a year into an engaging documentary-style project for YouTube. 23 days ago32 proposalsRemoteDigital Marketing Partner for Our Start-up
i-Thrive Well-Being is seeking an experienced UK-based digital marketing and growth partner to work alongside us in a practical, iterative support model. As a growing start-up brand, part of the challenge is building awareness that i-Thrive exists, particularly within our local catchment and among clearly defined audiences. At the same time, the business must generate enquiries, qualified leads, and—critically—confirmed bookings to support sustainable growth. Rather than a linear “audit → wait → implement” approach, this engagement blends fact-based performance review, rapid implementation of clear quick wins, and concurrent strategy development across paid advertising, organic social media, lead generation, and local SEO. This is a hands-on collaboration, not a reporting-only exercise. ________________________________________ Commercial Principle (Important) Paid Digital Advertising = ROI in Bookings For paid digital advertising, the primary and non-negotiable output is return on investment in bookings. Brand awareness, traffic, and lead volume are supporting indicators, but paid media success is judged on cost per booking, booking volume, and revenue impact, not impressions or clicks alone. ________________________________________ How We Expect the Engagement to Work From the outset, the partner will be expected to: • Rapidly assess current performance across paid ads, organic social, website, and local search • Implement immediate improvements to enquiry, lead, and booking flow • Improve clarity of messaging so audiences understand who we are, what we do, and who we are for • Refine targeting, structure, and creative based on observed response • Build a clear growth strategy informed by what actually converts This mirrors how i-Thrive works with its own clients: measure → interpret → act → review ________________________________________ About i-Thrive i-Thrive Well-Being is a UK-based health, wellbeing, and performance business combining evidence-led diagnostics with structured coaching and behaviour change. We work across four domains: • Healthspan, longevity & metabolic health • Sports performance & endurance • Menopause & midlife health • Executive & workplace performance Our approach is underpinned by a proprietary 5-Dimensional Model of Thriving (movement, nutrition, sleep, psychological wellbeing, purpose & lifestyle). We operate between healthcare and wellness in a high-trust, evidence-based space. ________________________________________ What We Do Diagnostics & Measurement DEXA body composition and bone health, VO₂ max, RMR, lactate testing, metabolic and performance profiling — used to inform decisions, not just generate reports. Coaching & Application One-to-one coaching and structured programmes across longevity, menopause, sports performance, and executive performance. Marketing must attract clients who value measured insight and coached behaviour change, not quick fixes. ________________________________________ Physical Presence We operate from a physical testing and consultation facility in Surrey, serving Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, and West Sussex. Local visibility, Google “near me” searches, and reputation are commercially critical. ________________________________________ Scope of Support 1. Paid Digital Advertising (Google & Meta) Primary objective: bookings with clear ROAS Includes performance review (spend → enquiries → leads → bookings), conversion tracking validation, campaign optimisation by service line, budget allocation by cost per booking, and ongoing optimisation. 2. Organic Social Media (Audit & Evaluation) Core platforms: Instagram, Facebook Evaluate the strategic importance of TikTok, Threads, and emerging platforms based on whether they materially support awareness, trust, enquiries, or bookings. 3. LinkedIn Launch – Executive & Workplace Performance Evaluate, launch, or reposition LinkedIn for executive audiences, with a clear content strategy aligned to workplace wellbeing, resilience, and sustainable performance. Support B2B conversations and partnerships. 4. Lead Generation & Conversion Optimisation Website, ads, and social → enquiries, leads, bookings. Includes forms, landing pages, lead magnets, Mailchimp journeys, segmentation, and attribution. 5. Local SEO Google Business Profile optimisation, local keyword strategy, reviews, and on-site local SEO to drive qualified local enquiries that convert. ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For • Experience in health, wellbeing, sports performance, menopause, or executive performance • Comfortable working with start-ups or scale-ups • Strong analytical and commercial mindset • Open to a performance-based or hybrid commercial model • Collaborative, transparent working style UK-based preferred | Surrey-based a bonus Please include: • Relevant experience • Examples of similar work • Your approach to balancing brand awareness with booking ROI • Indicative pricing (initial and ongoing)

I am an artist developing a browser-based interactive ritual experience where a 3D speaking character guides participants through a reflective AI-driven dialogue about the future. At the end of the interaction, the system produces: • A symbolic, poetic spoken response • One AI-generated image based on the participant’s clarified vision, rendered in a custom visual style trained on my artwork This is a poetic, immersive digital art experience, not a generic chatbot or commercial tool. Deliverable: A mini website / web module that can be integrated into an existing website (for example, as a subpage or subdirectory). Scope Clarification The generated images will later be shown in a separate digital “wall” project built by another team. This job does NOT include building that wall interface. 2 days ago33 proposalsRemoteShort‑Form Video Editor for UGC‑Style Service Ads
Create 30–60s vertical testimonial‑style videos for local trade businesses (starting with roofers). Overview: I’m testing a new service for local SMEs in the trades: turning 4–5‑star customer reviews into short, cinematic videos for websites and social media. I need a low‑cost video editor to turn my detailed prompts and reference files into visually strong, UGC‑style vertical videos. What you will create: 45–60s vertical 9:16 videos (TikTok/Reels/Shorts). Based on time‑coded prompts I provide (e.g. 00:00–00:05 before shot, 00:05–00:20 arrival, 00:20–00:40 transformation, 00:40–00:60 CTA). “Show, don’t tell” service fulfilment: before/after, close‑ups of tools, hands, materials, process shots, movement. On‑screen text overlays for key ideas and CTA (e.g. “TURNED UP & COMPLETED”, “5 STARS”, “REPLY ‘ROOF’ FOR FREE QUOTE”). Simple sound design: background music and adding supplied or AI voiceover. What I will provide: A written prompt for each video, including structure, scenes, transitions and CTA. The review text (voiceover + optional on‑screen text). The business website for logo/brand reference. A Trade_Video_Reference_Library sample video file (style and pacing). A Video Production Quality Control Checklist (clear pass/fail criteria). Knowledge‑base/reference files where needed. Your responsibilities: Use stock, AI clips or supplied visuals to match each prompt as closely as possible. Follow the QC checklist, including clear before/after contrast and strong visual storytelling. Add basic motion graphics when requested (e.g. stars, impact dust, CTA frame). Deliver MP4 optimised for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, plus project files if possible. Style & quality: UGC‑style authenticity: slightly imperfect, gritty, real‑world feel suited to tradespeople. Still needs to look intentional and clear: clean framing, readable text, logical flow. Strong emphasis on: Before/after transformation. Hands, tools, textures, surfaces. Movement, time‑lapse, transitions. A strong final CTA frame. Initial deliverables (pilot): 3–5 finished 45–60s vertical videos as a test batch. Each one must follow its specific prompt and pass the QC checklist. If this goes well, there will be ongoing batches. Budget / pricing: Low cost is paramount – this is a concept validation phase. Please give your price per 45–60s video and your price for an initial batch of 3–5 videos. Ideal candidate: Short‑form video editor or UGC ads editor with examples of Reels/TikTok/Shorts, product/service ads, or testimonial‑style videos. Comfortable working from prompts, reference files and checklists. Fast, reliable, good communication, and able to keep costs low. Nice to have: experience with trades, home services, or performance‑focused social ads. Please include in your proposal: 3–5 examples of vertical short‑form videos you’ve edited. Tools you use (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, mobile, AI, etc.). Typical turnaround time per video. Your per‑video rate for ongoing batches (5–10 at a time).
