Swimwear – Bikini Tech Pack & Integrated Padding

Project description I'm developing Violet Form, a new UK swimwear and bodywear brand built around the concept of permanently integrated, non-removable padding. My first launch will focus on a matching bikini top and bottom set. The key selling point is that the padding cannot fall out, twist or fold during washing and wear, providing a more convenient and reliable alternative to traditional removable bikini cups. I have already developed the brand concept, moodboards, design references, initial sketches and a draft technical pack for the bikini top. I'm now looking for an experienced freelance swimwear technical designer or product developer to help me refine the design and prepare it for sampling and manufacturing. The main areas I need help with are: Reviewing and improving my existing bikini top tech pack. Developing the technical specifications and tech pack for the matching bikini bottom. Advising on the best construction method for permanently securing the padding within the bikini top. Providing technical guidance on suitable moulded cups, lining fabrics, swimwear materials and stitching methods. Refining technical drawings, measurements, construction details and component specifications. Preparing clear documentation that can be used by my chosen overseas manufacturer for sampling and production. I'm particularly interested in someone who understands the practical challenges of swimwear construction, including gathered bikini cups, moulded padding and lining construction. Project approach As this is a start-up business, I need to keep the initial development costs manageable. I would prefer to work in stages, starting with a review of my existing designs and technical pack, followed by a clear quotation for any further work required. I am not simply looking for attractive fashion illustrations. I need practical technical expertise to help turn the concept into a manufacturable product. Ideal freelancer Demonstrable experience in swimwear design, technical design or pattern cutting. Experience producing production-oriented tech packs. Knowledge of moulded cups, padding integration, linings and swimwear fabrics. Experience working with overseas manufacturers is desirable. Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
