Hi, I’m Rob, the Ecommerce Manager here at Optimum Medical. We’re looking for someone to help us fully redevelop and rebuild our Shopify based ecommerce website, vyne.co.uk. And the potential to work on continued maintenance and development together in the future. For context, Optimum Medical is a medical device manufacturer based in Leeds, UK - successfully exporting a range of medical devices to over 70 countries around the world. Vyne is a standalone brand of Optimum Medical, focusing on the dispensing and distributing of medical products – mainly through its DAC function. Vyne is a Dispensing Appliance Contractor, in common terms, you’ll hear it called a ‘home delivery service’. We are licensed to process prescriptions for medical devices, dispense these and deliver them directly to patient homes. Patients and clinicians can order prescriptions through our Vyne Online portal, and now our new Vyne Online app. This can be thought of similarly to an online pharmacy, but solely for medical devices instead of medication. Alongside the DAC function we have Vyne Shop (this project!) – which is an ecommerce site built on Shopify. In April Vyne Shop will have been operating for 2 years. We stock over 1000 SKUs (and counting) within the Bladder & Bowel, Stoma, Skincare, Lubrication, Bandages, and Incontinence Pads categories. Many of the products we sell can be prescribed, along with many other products which are not part of the NHS Drug Tariff. Generally customers are using Vyne Shop to purchase medical product which aren’t available on prescription, like better quality fixation devices for example. Some customers are using Vyne Shop for products which aren’t available in their area, or to try out a new product before speaking with their clinician to get the item on prescription. Vyne Shop operates as revenue source for the business, but is also a great lead source for the DAC. We’re looking to redevelop/rebuild the Vyne site, including 9 custom landing pages and all Shopify functionality, such as the navigation, category, collection, product, basket, and blog pages. Site design and functionality has been mocked up in Figma and is ready to hand over to you! Design assets will be provided in the format you require, and a full brief will be sent over upon agreement. Our current site uses a lot of third party apps to function which ultimately makes it quite slow. Instead of relying on third party apps, we’re looking to use Shopify native apps like, Search & Discovery, Bundles, Forms, and Subscriptions – and replace other third party app functionality with custom code. Car gearbox issues following work
Had some work done to my gearbox on car with 2 sensors fitted as aftermarket product and software as original no longer avaialble. Car was OK for a few months. Then started jerking a few week ago 3 times. Took it to my local different garage as where I had work carried out is 70 miles away with company called AP. When at garage the gearbox stopped working. He pushed garage onto ramp and oil was coming out of it. It ended up being the gearbox oil where it was taken apart from initial garage AP. All oil had drained and this resulted in the sensors of gearbox being "locked" He showed me oil leak and initial work not carried out to a good standard as the pipe was leaking and seal damaged where initial garage AP carried out the works. He said will get a new pipe and calibrate the gearbox software as well as latest software updates Saturday 13th. On Monday 15th pipe replaced but software could not be updated a she said 3rd part part and only initial garage where part replaced could fix it. Cost me additional £600. So car was taken away by intial garage[AP] and on Friday 19th I phoned for an update and they said sensors working OK but car will not drive and that where I took the car to get the pipe fixed had "corrupted" the software. Told him no way possible as the software they are using had been used many times before on other cars, constantly updated, not 3rd party software, garage paid over £20k a year for licence from the main dealers as all linked to its mainframe HQ PORSCHE computer. He said a technician wil ring me. The car was pushed onto ramp as no gears were working and this was even before the software was plugged into the car. So what AP garage said was a total lie and placing the onus on my local garage. I phoned my local garage and told him everything and he was not happy. He said car should have left AP garage with calibration and software update and they did not seal the pipe properly hence the leak and software locking and car not going into gear so no gears and evident by car being pushed onto ramp He said ask AP to give his technician [Mark] a ring on Monday. I initially paid over £6k to get 2 sensors fitted to the car in October and it drove ok until a few week a go and even drove better after the work but there was an oil leak and I thought it was just from the engine as was evident before but was from the gearbox. Need this to go to legal if they refuse to claim liability.
