Product Design Engineer Needed – Small Flexible Consumer Product / CAD & Prototype I’m looking for an experienced product design/mechanical engineer to help develop a small flexible consumer product from an existing concept into an initial functional prototype. The product is a small, preferably one-piece flexible component containing very fine, soft internal features. It also incorporates a flexible split/opening which needs to open temporarily and reliably return to its original shape without permanent deformation. I’m looking for someone who has experience with: • Physical consumer product development • Flexible materials such as TPE, TPU and/or silicone • Small, fine flexible features • CAD for manufacture • Injection-moulded product design / DFM • Functional prototyping and design iteration This is not simply a CAD tracing/rendering job. What already exists The brand direction and two principal characters are established, alongside a developing supporting cast and fictional rainforest world.
