Electrical Designer, UK Commercial Electrical Design

Electrical Designer Required, UK Commercial Electrical Design, UPS / Distribution Board Project This is a repost due to a client-side delay. The project is now moving again and we are looking to appoint a suitable electrical designer. I am looking for a competent electrical designer to support with a UK commercial electrical design package. The project involves upgrading an existing distribution board circuit to feed a dedicated new distribution board, with a UPS feed and maintenance bypass switch incorporated. The requirement is for RIBA Stage 4 design support and Stage 6/as-built updates following installation. There may be two similar locations, subject to confirmation. This is electrical design work. It is not web design, graphic design, general CAD drafting, data entry or non-electrical consultancy. If you do not have electrical design experience, this project is not suitable. The required scope is likely to include: Review of existing electrical layout and client information Single line / schematic arrangement Cable sizing calculations Voltage drop calculations Protective device selection Review of existing distribution board supply details, subject to information provided UPS / maintenance bypass integration notes Design assumptions and limitations Stage 6/as-built update based on installer redlines and final installed details The installation will be completed by others. I require design support, calculations and drawing/schematic input. Before appointment, proof of relevant qualifications and examples of previous electrical design work will be required. Requirements: UK recognised electrical design qualifications Good working knowledge of BS 7671 Commercial / industrial electrical design experience Experience with UPS-backed distribution arrangements preferred Ability to provide examples of previous similar work Ability to provide evidence of calculation methodology / calculation outputs Professional indemnity insurance preferred Comfortable working from existing drawings, DB information and site-provided data Clear about assumptions, limitations and information required before design completion I am not looking for the cheapest option.
