Creation and layout of e-proceedings for an upcoming conference
I need help to collate and format all texts (word) and/or Powerpoint slides presentations of speakers at an upcoming conference and format into an attractive conference e-proceedings booklet that also includes cover pages, page numbers, a table of contents and some pages of adverts from sponsors. The final copy needs to be optimised for the web with no loss of quality so that it can be mailed to attendees/ housed on my website. Estimated number of pages circa 350 with all slides laid out as 8 slides per page. I will provide a link to all materials and give clear guidance as well as an example of a previous conference proceedings document - but I am open to other design suggestions. I will also supply graphics and logo for the cover. There will also be approximately 6 pages of sponsor adverts. I anticipate no more than 3 revisions. And the potential to work on continued maintenance and development together in the future. For context, Optimum Medical is a medical device manufacturer based in Leeds, UK - successfully exporting a range of medical devices to over 70 countries around the world. Vyne is a standalone brand of Optimum Medical, focusing on the dispensing and distributing of medical products – mainly through its DAC function. Vyne is a Dispensing Appliance Contractor, in common terms, you’ll hear it called a ‘home delivery service’. We are licensed to process prescriptions for medical devices, dispense these and deliver them directly to patient homes. Patients and clinicians can order prescriptions through our Vyne Online portal, and now our new Vyne Online app. This can be thought of similarly to an online pharmacy, but solely for medical devices instead of medication. Alongside the DAC function we have Vyne Shop (this project!) – which is an ecommerce site built on Shopify. In April Vyne Shop will have been operating for 2 years. We stock over 1000 SKUs (and counting) within the Bladder & Bowel, Stoma, Skincare, Lubrication, Bandages, and Incontinence Pads categories. Many of the products we sell can be prescribed, along with many other products which are not part of the NHS Drug Tariff. Generally customers are using Vyne Shop to purchase medical product which aren’t available on prescription, like better quality fixation devices for example. Some customers are using Vyne Shop for products which aren’t available in their area, or to try out a new product before speaking with their clinician to get the item on prescription. Vyne Shop operates as revenue source for the business, but is also a great lead source for the DAC. We’re looking to redevelop/rebuild the Vyne site, including 9 custom landing pages and all Shopify functionality, such as the navigation, category, collection, product, basket, and blog pages. Site design and functionality has been mocked up in Figma and is ready to hand over to you! Design assets will be provided in the format you require, and a full brief will be sent over upon agreement. Our current site uses a lot of third party apps to function which ultimately makes it quite slow. Instead of relying on third party apps, we’re looking to use Shopify native apps like, Search & Discovery, Bundles, Forms, and Subscriptions – and replace other third party app functionality with custom code. This task was going to be completed by my current web developer, but he has stated it would make more sense to hire someone with much more server config experience. I have recently changed my server from a shared one to a dedicated one with Hostinger. Previous experience with Hostinger would be a bonus, but not necessary if you have the relevant experience. Please see below the task and info sent to the previous developer This one is kind of a 3 parter. As you can imagine, I have changed the server to increase speed and generally improve reliability. When I moved servers recently it seemed a lot faster for admin, but when the transfer was complete, the back-end system was perhaps even slower than the shared one. I raised this with the new server guys hoping they could see why and resolve it. They didn't. I need you to see what is causing conflicts and make the admin system run faster. I need the site to perform better as a whole. One thing that has never been great is the speed an escort profile opens. Navigating to a location is pretty fast, but opening profiles isn't that fast. I believe there are a number of scripts associated. A little more info on this, I have always used WProcket to cache all content for 6 hours, and then after 6 hours all profiles and ads rotate, so if people revisit the site at a later date, it looks different. WProcket is now off as the server people advised to use Lite cache and CDN services instead. They state they have set Lite cache to cache and change every 6 hours, but I am not sure that it is working correctly. And the final part of the site's speed is the vitals judged by Google (See screens attached). I have been working on passing all the website vitals for close to a year now. From January to recently all URLs for desktop were good, and mobile had 30+ that needed improvement until the 20th of Feb. Then for a period of 3-4 weeks all URLs were good, with no more issues. Then on the 13th of March, the urls needed improvement and now they have gone to poor again. After the server change recently, I have checked and the mobile ones have gone from poor to need improvement but the desktop remains poor. When they started failing again no development was or had been done on the site which could have caused this, nothing had changed apart from plugin updates. That's what one of my devs said must have caused it. I need these all good again and ideally stay that way. So to sum up the project. - Improve speed of the site for admin, logged-in users and general visitors whilst not changing the functionality of the site -CACHE FOR 6 HOURS NEEDS TO STAY - Make all Google vitals good and to stay that way My current developer suggested the below to fix the issues above. - Remove any unused plugins - Pick 1 form plugin and recreate other forms in it, I noticed you have Contact Form 7 and Caldera both installed - Configure CSS, JS and HTML minify, deferred and combination settings in LiteSpeed cache - Configure Page and Object Caching settings - Optimise media files for faster delivery - Consider upgrading PHP to a newer version - Review scripts in ESLST-PTPL-custom plugin as a lot of the queries from this plugin are slow in execution - Explore caching the WP Admin Dashboard with LiteSpeed cache I imagine I will get several offers for this project. I will most likely take the most reasonable offer with the quickest complete time. I have a staging site for all these configs to be worked on. I have one more small task to complete after this too but I will mention that if this can be completed.

What I'm looking for: 1) A Metal Melting Furnace using PCB Board , various electrical and electronic components , firmware and hardware. 2) It should have feature of increasing and decreasing Temperature manually as per the requirement of melting point of different metals. 3) A ON/OFF Switch button , temperature indicator in Degree Celsius , increasing and decreasing temperature buttons to set the exact temperature and voltage indicator are must. 4) A "SET" Button. This button when Pressed will maintain the constant desired temperature. For example the melting point of Iron is 1800 Degree Celsius. Once the furnace reaches this point and this button should be pressed so that there is not drop or increase in temperature irrespective of external conditions or other conditions. 5) Maximum melting point to be reached is 2100 Degree Celsius. 6) It should be able to reach those temperatures within 10-15 minutes. 7) It should be compact , lightweight and can easily be moved from one place to other(although this is not a major requirement if we have to compromise on it's quality or design to achieve the same but I believe that something like this can be achieved considering the fact that we live in advance age) 8) It should be able to work with the help of capacitor batteries or any other Lithium Ion battery/Solar batteries or the batteries which are used in Trucks or any other external source of battery. 9) It should be able to take in 240V of electricity since in my country its the standard 3-pin socket output provided by the government. 10) It should be able to hold crucible for melting the metals. For reference I have included a few pictures of my idea of the design , you are welcome to share yours and guide me along the way pointing out any flaws or cons of the same , thereby suggesting something economical as well as good performer at the same time. 11) Most importantly incase there is some major voltage fluctuation during its operation , there should be some very strong safety measures built into it to avoid any major accidents. 12) The components used in the project should be economical(since wearing of components will occur over the course of time and hence very costly components need not be installed) easily available(although this is not a compulsory requirement if quality will be compromised) 13) You will have to design the entire circuit board , a board which is not sub-standard in quality but above a certain threshold of quality but at the same time which will be economical to produce. 14) Since it is a furnace its maximum weight holding capacity including the weight of the crucible should be 6Kgs. 15) It should also be able to work with lesser weight such as from 50 Grams. Hello, Our Wordpress website was attacked by x-ransom. We have a backup of the WP and the database dump. We have detected some corrupted files there but it seems that there are still some left that were not detected. It has to be tidy after the attack. It’s an internet shop with uploads files of around 100GB. It’s stored on a private hosting in LV. What is done do far: 1. Update WordPress Version 2. Use z’d updateSecure WP-Admin Login Credentials 3. Set Up Safelist and Blocklist for the Admin Page 4. Use Trusted WordPress Themes 5. Install SSL Certificate 6. Remove Unused WordPress Plugins and Themes 1. Enable Two-Factor Authentication for WP-Admin 2. Back Up WordPress 3. Limit Login Attempts 4. Change the WordPress Login Page URL 5. Log Idle Users Out Automatically 6. Monitor User Activity 7. Check for Malware - found several none-Wordpress specious files and plugins. Deleted them. 1. Disable PHP Error Reporting 3. Turn File Editing Off 4. Restrict Access Using the .htaccess File 5. Change the Default WordPress Database Prefix - not done 6. Disable XML-RPC 7. Hide the WordPress Version 8.
