Social Media Management for Lockdown Alarms for Public Venues
About Camelott® Camelott® installs lockdown alarm systems across the UK, primarily for schools. We also provide managed print and photocopier solutions as a secondary service. With Martyn’s Law (Protect Duty) due to be introduced from April 2025, and full compliance required by 2027, organisations that host 200+ members of the public — including schools, theatres, cinemas, religious institutions, community venues and event halls — will have a legal obligation to strengthen their emergency preparedness and security procedures. This is a safeguarding and public safety matter. Our aim is not fear-based marketing, but to educate duty holders on their responsibilities and offer practical solutions — specifically lockdown alert systems. ⸻ Project Overview We are looking for a professional social media freelancer or agency who can manage our social channels with a focus on: ✔ Raising awareness of Martyn’s Law and organisational responsibilities ✔ Demonstrating why lockdown alarms are an essential part of safeguarding and emergency planning ✔ Communicating clearly to headteachers, safeguarding leads, school business managers, estates teams, church leaders, venue managers and local authorities ✔ Generating enquiries and consultations, not generic engagement ✔ Maintaining a professional tone — no generic awareness days, memes or unrelated content Secondary content will include managed print services and photocopier leasing, also kept professional and relevant to schools and public organisations. ⸻ Platforms to Manage • LinkedIn (priority – decision-makers & professional networking) • Facebook • Instagram (optional but welcome) • X / Twitter ⸻ What We Expect Each Month (~£300 Budget): • Minimum 3 professional posts per week per platform • Content must be factual, responsible and legally accurate • Topics include: lockdown procedures, safeguarding standards, Martyn’s Law updates, duty of care, real use cases (no scaremongering) • No trend-based posts, gimmicks, calendar event posting or informal content • Basic branded graphics / visuals included (we can supply imagery and case studies) • Optional: paid ad management (please price separately if you offer it) • Monthly insights report (reach, engagement, enquiries) ⸻ Who Should Apply We are looking for individuals/agencies with experience in: ✅ Education sector / safeguarding / security / compliance ✅ B2B communication and professional tone of voice ✅ Turning legislation or policy into understandable, responsible content ✅ Lead generation via social media (not just building followers) ⸻ Proposal Requirements Please include: • Examples of similar work (education, compliance, security, government, etc.) • What you will deliver monthly for £300 • Approach to communicating Martyn’s Law responsibly and professionally • How you will measure success (enquiries, outreach, lead generation) • Optional: pricing for managing paid ads / email campaigns / blog writing ⸻ Objective To work long-term with a freelancer who understands the seriousness of the subject, can communicate it professionally, and can help Camelott become the trusted provider of lockdown systems — particularly for schools, public venues and organisations preparing for Martyn’s Law. Note that the budget will go up according to success and orders coming through. You or your company must deal with the whole process, you can not subcontract out the work. Must be in English to a very high standard. No 100% deposits will be considered. Whenever I have had substandard work a high deposit went with it. Camelott.co.uk
