I want to create a memoir
I am seeking a skilled editor to refine my memoir, chronicling two decades of a village cricket club in England. The manuscript, approximately 100,000 words, is composed from the first-person perspective of a player and Chairman, infused with a delightful schoolboy humour reflective of our close-knit membership. Your task will involve editing the text for clarity and engagement, ensuring it remains amusing and accessible. Additionally, I would appreciate suggestions for layout to enhance the reading experience. While my timeline is somewhat flexible, I aim for completion within a month.

Talking heads editor
I am looking for a video editor who can take my raw footage and edit so that I create a digital course. I am looking for a professional finish. I am currently filming the project and estimate there will be approximately 40 videos to edit. Some will be around 10 minutes long and others around 5. The course is aimed at individuals who are looking to understand breastfeeding and how to do it. It is largely talking head. In some videos a doll is used for demonstration and knitted breasts. The videos will require splash screens at the start and finish of each of them. Some videos are shot with a teleprompter but it may be necessary to remove errors within the footage and improve speech with removal of 'ums'. In some videos I would like to have images shown as either full screen or picture in picture. In some I will require a list shown on the side of the screen whilst keeping me full screen. As a lot of the footage is talking head I would also like interest to be added such as cut in, cut out and other interest features in post production. I am initially keen to work with a freelancer on a small number of the videos. I will then film more and provide additional footage. I am interested to receive your proposals and would be keen to understand the software you intend to use and also the information you would need me to submit to you to complete each video.
Video editing and knitting together
I seek an experienced video editor to craft a one-minute marketing film from various film clips and a provided script. The final product will showcase our business and products in a cohesive and engaging manner. Several film clips of varying lengths need to be carefully stitched together totell a compelling story within the tight timeframe. Transitions between scenes require creativity and finesse to maintain a smooth visual flow. Gaps remaining after assembly must be addressed by sourcing and incorporating supplemental footage to minimise discontinuity. The chosen editor will have liberty to implement minor alterations to the script if needed to optimise the narrative structure and pace. Candidate must possess advanced skills with video editing software to seamlessly merge videos, add titles/captions, refine audio levels and apply other post-production techniques. Examples of previous one-minute compilations from disparate elements would be valuable to evaluate technical and artistic abilities. Strong communication is essential as I will provide feedback during the process to ensure the final cut aligns with our objectives.

I need a Brand logo designed.
WalkWild is a brand that embodies the spirit of 'rewilding people'– reconnecting with nature and embracing a more primal, authentic way of living. Our mission is to inspire people to rediscover the beauty and simplicity of the wild, and to strive to keep one foot in the wild. 'Walk Wild' is both a mantra and recommendation, but also is a slight play on words as my surname is Walker and my passion is the wild and creating a wilderness brand. The domain I am using for my website is walkwild.life (rough version already online but brand colours etc not yet established so please do not take inspiration from there). I like the idea this further expands the mantra of the brand to 'walk a wild life'. Target Audience: Our audience is made up of outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those seeking a deeper connection with the earth. They value authenticity, simplicity, and the raw beauty of the natural world. They are people who find joy in camping under the stars, cooking over a campfire, and crafting with their hands. However also for people who are the opposite and seek to become the first. Core Values: Authenticity: We believe in genuine experiences, no gimmicks or pretences. Simplicity: A return to what’s real and honest, valuing the basic, primal ways of living. Connection: Deep relationships with the land and each other, forming a tight-knit community. Adventure: Embracing the wild, not just as a thrill but as a way of life. Balance: Finding harmony between the primal and modern worlds, encouraging small but meaningful connections to nature. Logo Inspiration: Natural Elements: Incorporate one or more symbols of the wild, such as mountains, trees, rivers, or campfires. These elements should feel raw and untamed, not overly polished. Primal Connection: Consider using motifs that evoke ancient or tribal imagery, something that speaks to our roots and the idea of rewilding. Timeless & Simple: The logo should be clean and straightforward, reflecting the simplicity and authenticity of the brand. Avoid anything too modern or complex. Handcrafted Feel: A design that looks hand-drawn or crafted, with textures or details that suggest it’s been made with care and intention. However as I mention these Things, feel free to be creative and out of the box. One idea I have had is using footprints to illustrate 'walking wild' but that is not a firm suggestion, just a potential idea. I am not creating a hiking brand and so do not want there to be any confusion there. Colors: Earthy tones such as deep greens, browns, and muted blues. A palette that evokes the natural world – think forest, sky, soil, and stone. Usage: The logo will be used across my website, social media, merchandise, on business cards etc. It should be versatile enough to look good in both full color and black-and-white versions. Deliverables: Initial suggestion of a minimum of five logos. Further work to then take on feedback and refine one of those ideas. Final copy of a high res primary logo. Variations that work on different backgrounds (dark, light, transparent). A favicon for website use.
