Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am putting together a guitar lessons website for myself, and I need a cartoon / illustration done to serve as the header for the website.
Since my market is children ages 8 - 14 year olds, I am envisioning a cartoon / illustration header. The illustration should be somewhat realistic but still have that cartoon feel to it.
The name of the website is "Guitar with Raleigh", so that would need to be displayed in the banner. Again, I am envisioning cartoon letters.
Now as far as the other content in the banner, I would like a cartoon / illustration of myself holding / teaching the guitar to a younger student.
Check out the attached image. It gives you an idea of the composition I was considering. Of course you'd have to draw in a student in the other chair. Make sure she looks like an 8 - 12 year old girl as most of my students are currently young girls in that age range. And for the header, I was thinking between myself and the girl should be the words, "Guitar with Raleigh".
Feel free to submit a quick compositional sketch before you use color!
The general feel of this header should be very childish, innocent, using pastel color tones. The letters for "guitar with Raleigh" should be rounded, almost like baby blocks, but of course not as dramatic.
In addition to the banner, I will need a small image of a guitar and a few musical notes perhaps, that I can use in the background of the website as a "repeatable" image. It will simply be an image to fill up the page if the website browser is expanded. But it must be in the same style as the header.
Here is the general style I am going for:

Thanks so much, and please let me know if you have any questions!
