Developer to test & harden a local-first automation CLI (paid)
We're looking for a developer (ideally a few) to help test and improve RailCall, a local-first, developer-grade automation tool. This is real paid work, broken into small fixed-price tasks. Start with one; if it's a good fit, there's a steady stream of more. About the tool (so you can scope your proposal accurately): RailCall runs on your own machine. You describe an automation in plain English and it builds a real, governed workflow that runs locally - not in a vendor cloud. Nothing executes until you approve it (dry-run by default), and every run is sealed with a signed receipt you can verify offline. Keys, data and logs stay on your machine. There's a free tier (500 flows/month, no card) so you can install and start straight away. - Site: https://railcall.ai - Docs: https://railcall.ai/docs.html - Install (macOS/Linux): curl -fsSL https://railcall.ai/install.sh | bash - then run: railcall studio The tasks we're paying for (fixed price, per accepted deliverable): 1. A reproducible bug report or actionable feedback - approx £8 each. Accepted when we can reproduce the issue from your write-up (clear steps, expected vs actual, environment) or directly act on the feedback. 2. A shipped fix, or a genuinely useful workflow you've built - approx £20 each. Accepted when the fix is verified working, or the workflow runs and you supply its signed receipt (via "railcall verify"). 3. A standout build, a written how-to guide, or a short demo video - approx £40 each. Accepted when it's clear, accurate, and something we'd be happy to share with other developers. Every milestone is agreed, awarded and paid through PeoplePerHour. These are paid tasks - not spec work, not a free contest. What we're after: - Comfortable on the command line, with git, and installing a CLI on macOS or Linux - Can write a clear, reproducible report (steps, expected vs actual, environment) - Bonus: experience with MCP, agent tooling, or workflow automation How to propose: Send a proposal here on PeoplePerHour. Tell us which task you'd like to start with, a rough delivery timeline, and anything relevant you've built before. We agree the milestone, award it, and release payment on delivery through PPH. Reliable contributors will be first in line for more of the same work - this is ongoing, and the longer-term arrangement is still taking shape, so no promises beyond the paid tasks named above.

AI IMAGE PIPELINE - CONTRACT ComfyUI, LoRA training, ControlNet. Ongoing work. We're a UK educational publisher producing a large illustrated fiction list for schools. We need someone to build and run an image generation pipeline for it. THE WORK Each book series has its own visual style, defined by a written style guide and a small set of reference images. Your job is to turn that into a repeatable engine: train the style, lock it, and produce around 110 print-ready images per series to a supplied brief. The images are composed to a page layout, so composition is directed, not left to the model. Each one has a specified size and a specified job on the page. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO - Build custom ComfyUI workflows at graph level. Not just run other people's. - Train LoRAs properly. Dataset curation, captioning, hyperparameters, and knowing when a model has overfit. - Control composition with ControlNet, depth, pose and regional prompting. - Inpaint and repair to a print standard. - Script and batch with Python. This is volume work and it cannot be done by hand in a GUI. - Prepare for print: 300dpi, upscaling, CMYK, colour management. - Document what you build, so someone else can run it. WHAT WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR - Midjourney-only. We need training and control, not a closed system. - Prompt engineering as a job title. - A beautiful portfolio of one-off images. One stunning picture tells us nothing about producing 110 consistent ones. THE TEST Paid. We send you a style guide and five reference images. You send back six images in that style: a rope, a hand holding a coin, a boat, and three we'll name. We are not judging how good image one is. We are judging whether image six matches it. STRUCTURE First engagement is fixed scope: build the workflow, prove it on one series, document it. Hourly/daily work follows once the machine exists and we know what it needs. RATES - Free simple test: - Build: fixed fee, - Hourly or daily rate thereafter: TO APPLY Send: 1. A workflow you have built, and a short note on what problem it solved 2. A LoRA you have trained, with the dataset approach you used 3. A set of images showing one style or character held across at least six outputs

Bespoke Online Booking System for External Assessors
OVERVIEW We're a care home group with 8 homes. We need a simple, self-service web booking tool for external assessors (DoLS Best Interests Assessors, CHC assessors, FNC reviewers, IMCAs, and others) to book their own visit slots to assess a resident. Currently done manually by phone/email — slow and time consuming. We want this replaced with a lightweight tool. WHO USES IT External assessors (primary users) — book their own slot, no account hassle. Our central Assessments and Contracts team (oversees all 8 homes) — configures settings and sees all bookings. CORE FEATURES Public booking page(s) — one per home or a single page with a home selector. Assessment type selection (DoLS, CHC, FNC Review, DST, IMCA, Best Interests Meeting, "Other" free text) — expandable later. Live availability & direct booking — no manual approval needed for MVP. Configurable minimum notice period per assessment type — e.g. DoLS bookable next day, CHC needs 2 weeks minimum, others TBC. Must be adjustable by our Assessments and Contracts team via a settings screen, not hardcoded. Outlook Calendar integration (Microsoft Graph API) — bookings sync with real per-home calendars and auto-create events. Automatic confirmation/reminder emails to assessor and home contact on booking, change, or cancellation. Microsoft Teams integration — auto-generate a Teams link for remote/hybrid visits. Booking form fields: assessor name/organisation/email/phone; resident's name; resident's DOB or NHS number; assessment type; "will staff time be required?" (Y/N); "will medical records be required?" (Y/N); "has NOK been notified?" (Y/N); free-text notes. Self-service reschedule/cancel via link in confirmation email. Central dashboard for the Assessments and Contracts team — view bookings across all homes, manage notice-period settings. NICE-TO-HAVES (not required for MVP) Per-home blackout dates; CSV/Excel export; SMS reminders. TECHNICAL PREFERENCES Must integrate with Microsoft 365 (Outlook + Teams) via Graph API or equivalent — no third-party calendar system. Freelancer's choice of platform/stack, as long as it integrates well with M365 and is easy for us to maintain (please explain your approach, e.g. Power Apps/Power Automate vs custom web app). Mobile-friendly, since assessors will often book from their phone. DATA PROTECTION Resident DOB/NHS number plus assessment type counts as special category health data under UK GDPR. Please address in your proposal: hosting/encryption (at rest & in transit); who can view resident-identifying records; retention/auto-purge policy; relevant experience with health-adjacent data in a UK/CQC-regulated context. No full medical records/care notes should be stored in the tool. DELIVERABLES Working system live across all 8 homes, link shareable with assessors. Outlook sync + Teams link generation, tested. Short (1-2 page) admin guide for the Assessments and Contracts team. Handover of admin credentials/access. BUDGET & TIMELINE Under £500 (MVP scope). A few weeks. Open to a phased approach — core booking + calendar sync first, nice-to-haves later if budget allows. PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL Proposed tech approach and why it suits Microsoft 365; relevant experience with booking systems/Graph API/Outlook/Teams integrations; rough timeline and milestones; assumptions/questions given the budget.

Book Marketer for Dystopian Sci-Fi Novel – Strategy + Execution
Hi, I’m Mikhail, I’m looking for a book marketer who can build and [IMPORTANT] execute a promotional strategy for my debut novel. I’m open to any approach that makes sense for the book. What I need is someone who understands the book’s positioning and can recommend the right channels, not just run one playbook. The book is ‘Android Against Moscow’, published on Amazon (Kindle, paperback, hardcover). It’s set in a near-future authoritarian Russia and follows an elderly theatre scholar and his domestic android as they steal classified evidence of state-sponsored historical falsification and try to escape the country. The genre is dystopian science fiction with political themes. Written by a Russian émigré living in Germany. What didn’t work: I previously ran an email outreach campaign that sent roughly 5500 emails to a broad list (poorly targeted?). The open rate was above 40%, but no purchases or reviews followed. Several contacts turned out to be genre mismatches – horror reviewers, psychological thriller bloggers – people who were never going to connect with this book. I don’t want to repeat that approach. What I already have: A published book. Some audiobook chapters. A prologue video on my YouTube channel. Graphics. What I need is someone who knows what to do with all this stuff. https://www.amazon.com/Android-Against-Moscow-T-Woods/dp/B0GYYZFBQ5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh45nAewfjU About the book’s audience: I’m not an expert, but this is probably not mainstream commercial fiction. AI says that the readers who’d love this book are people who read Zamyatin, Orwell, Huxley, Philip K. Dick, Kazuo Ishiguro’s ‘Never Let Me Go’. They care about surveillance, AI consciousness, authoritarianism, and what happens to individuals caught inside political machinery. The marketing needs to find those readers specifically, not cast a wide net and hope. One more thing: the androids are inspired by the game ‘Detroit: Become Human’. I changed the shape of those LEDs, but the Detroit fans will immediately recognise them. But Kara’s story is totally different from Dasha’s. In your proposal, please tell me: What strategy would you recommend for a book with this profile, and why? What channels would you prioritise? Whether you’ve marketed books outside mainstream American commercial fiction, particularly anything with international, European or Russian themes. How you handle reporting and communication. How you structure your pricing. Budget is negotiable. I’d rather invest in a focused strategy that reaches the right readers than pay for volume that reaches no one. I realise that you don’t have time to read all the works. Feel free to ask for a review copy. You may feed it to AI (Claude and Gemini are the most practical helpers in this regard), and I’ll tell you what the machine got right.

Carousel + TikTok Content for Legal Thriller Biopic
READ BEFORE APPLYING – IMPORTANT Please read this brief fully, especially the “How to apply” section. Applications that do not include all of the items listed under “How to apply” will be automatically rejected without further discussion. I’m looking for a designer/copywriter (or a small duo) to create a research‑driven, sensitive, and engaging social media piece around Prahaar – The Ujjwal Nikam Story, an upcoming biographical legal drama about Indian public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and the 26/11 Mumbai terror trial of Ajmal Kasab. The focus is not generic film promotion. The carousel + TikTok content should explain, in clear and factual terms: Who Ujjwal Nikam is (career, major cases, public image). Who Ajmal Kasab was and his role in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The investigation and trial leading to Kasab’s conviction, and why this case matters. A final contextual tie‑in to the film, without turning it into a poster. TikTok is the priority platform; Instagram is the adaptation. Goals: Educate audiences who may only vaguely know 26/11 / Kasab / Nikam. Build emotional and intellectual stakes around Nikam’s work and the trial. Create content that feels journalistic and credible, not click‑baity or sensational. Be respectful to victims and survivors at all times. Scope of work You will be responsible for: - Researching the subject from credible sources (news, interviews, legal reporting). - Writing all copy: slide headlines, body text, and platform captions. - Designing a TikTok‑first visual narrative (9:16 vertical), then adapting it to an Instagram carousel. Deliverables: - Narrative storyboard for the full piece (slide‑by‑slide / sequence outline). - 1 x TikTok‑first vertical asset (1080×1920) - Either: photo carousel with designed slides. - 1 x Instagram carousel adaptation** (standard feed dimensions, based on the TikTok design). - Captions for TikTok and Instagram, including: - 2 hook options. - 2 closing CTA options (eg. “Save for later”, “Comment your memory of following this case”). Source files (PSD / AI / Figma) + export‑ready images/video. Tone and content requirements: Informative, balanced, victim‑sensitive. Zero glorification of terrorism; focus on law, justice, process, and impact. No made‑up quotes, trial dialogue or “dramatic lines” pretending to be factual. No graphic images of violence; use considered visual metaphors (courtroom, documents, cityscape, etc.). All copy and design must be original and human‑made. Please do not use AI writing tools or AI image generators. What I’m like as a client: I’m a UK‑based Indian film critic and content creator, used to detailed, analytical content. I’ll give you a clear brief, expect you to respect the subject matter, and review your work thoughtfully. I value: - People who read the brief properly. - Strong narrative structure. - Good typography and clean layouts over noisy visuals. How to apply (non‑negotiable): I will only consider applications that include all three of these: 1. Portfolio examples: Share 2–3 links or screenshots of previous Instagram carousels or social explainers you’ve designed. These should be content‑heavy pieces (education, storytelling, explainers) rather than only product promos. 2. Structure idea In 4–5 lines, briefly describe how you would structure this carousel/TikTok piece (eg. Hook → who is Nikam → 26/11 snapshot → who was Kasab → trial process → ethical questions → film tie‑in). 3. Timeline and fee State your estimated timeline for: - Storyboard, - Full TikTok design, - Instagram adaptation. - State your total fee for the above scope (fixed project price). Applications that do not provide portfolio examples, a clear structure idea, and timeline + fee will be rejected immediately. Optional but appreciated If you have any connection to Mumbai, law, or previous experience handling sensitive historical/political topics in your work, feel free to mention it briefly. This is not required, but it helps me understand your perspective. This is a self‑funded project, so my working budget is around £95–£120 for the full scope. However, for the right freelancer with strong, relevant carousel/social explainer work and experience handling sensitive topics, I’m prepared to go up to £150. If you feel the scope requires a slightly higher fee, please mention this clearly in your application or message me directly so we can see if it’s still workable.
