Website Redesign & Full Digital Setup for Financial Advice Firm
I am looking for an experienced web designer/developer (or agency) to take ownership of my firm’s online presence from start to finish. I already have a live website, but I don’t feel it reflects the professionalism or quality of the business. While much of the existing content can be retained, I believe the website needs to be redesigned from the ground up with a modern, clean and professional feel. I am not simply looking for someone to build a website. I want someone who can advise on, implement and manage all technical aspects of the project, making recommendations where appropriate rather than simply following instructions. Scope of Work Website Design - Complete redesign of the existing website. - Modern, professional design suitable for a UK financial planning firm. - Mobile responsive across all devices. - Fast loading and intuitive to navigate. - Strong calls to action to encourage enquiries. Website Development - Build and launch the new website. - Migrate existing content where appropriate. - Ensure all pages, links and functionality work correctly. - Provide an easy-to-use CMS so I can make basic updates myself if required. Hosting & Domain - Recommend the most suitable hosting solution. - Assist with hosting migration if required. - Configure the domain correctly. - Manage DNS, SSL certificates and all technical setup. Security - Ensure the website follows current security best practices. - Configure SSL correctly. - Protect against common vulnerabilities. - Recommend an ongoing maintenance plan to keep the site secure and up to date. SEO - Optimise the website for search engines from launch. - Improve page speed and technical SEO. - Optimise page titles, headings and meta descriptions. - Advise on local SEO to improve visibility for people searching for a financial adviser in my area. - Configure Google Search Console, XML sitemap and any other recommended technical SEO requirements. Google Business Profile - Integrate my Google reviews into the website. - Ensure the website is correctly linked with my Google Business Profile. Contact & Lead Generation - Create secure enquiry forms that send directly to my business email. - Protect forms against spam. - Make it easy for potential clients to get in touch throughout the website. Analytics - Set up Google Analytics and any other recommended tracking. - Configure enquiry/conversion tracking where appropriate. What I’m Looking For I’m looking for someone who wants to become my long-term digital partner rather than simply complete a one-off project. Good communication is important to me. I value proactive advice, so if there are areas where you believe the website or wider online presence could be improved, I’d like you to tell me rather than waiting to be asked. This budget is indicative. I’m looking for the right person rather than simply the cheapest quote. If you feel a different budget would deliver a significantly better outcome, please explain why in your proposal. When Applying Please include: - Examples of websites you’ve designed that you’re most proud of (financial services or other professional service businesses would be ideal). - Which platform you would recommend for this project (WordPress, Webflow or another platform) and why. - A brief outline of how you would approach the project. - The ongoing costs I should expect after launch (hosting, maintenance, licences, etc.). - A link to your portfolio. If possible, I’d appreciate it if you could take a quick look at my existing website (http://www.mandcfinancialplanning.co.uk) and briefly mention one or two improvements you would make. This isn’t intended as a full audit, I’m simply interested in understanding how you approach projects like this.

Urgent Project: Full Database Extraction of via scrape
Overview We need a developer to build and run a scraping script that extracts all current records from the UK Government's Individual Insolvency Register (IIR). Register URL: https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/search This is a public government database published under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which permits reuse including for commercial purposes. We have had this data scraped successfully before, so we know it is achievable. What the Register Contains The register lists individuals currently subject to an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), Debt Relief Order (DRO), or Bankruptcy in England and Wales. Each record contains personal details and case information on a dedicated case detail page. Data Fields Required We need the following fields extracted for every record on the register and delivered in a single CSV/Excel file: FieldSource LocationNotesTitleCase detail page — "Individual details"e.g. Mr, Mrs, MsFirst NameCase detail page "Forename(s)"Last NameCase detail page — "Surname"Address Line 1Case detail page — "Last known address"Parsed/split from full addressAddress Line 2Case detail page — "Last known address"Parsed/split from full addressCityCase detail page — "Last known address"Parsed/split from full addressPostcodeCase detail page — "Last known address"Parsed/split from full addressDate of BirthCase detail page — "Date of birth"Format: DD/MM/YYYYTypeCase detail page — "Type" under Insolvency case detailse.g. Individual Voluntary Arrangement, Debt Relief Order, BankruptcyArrangement DateCase detail page — "Arrangement date" (or equivalent date field)Format: DD/MM/YYYY FirmCase detail page — Insolvency practitioner "Firm"The IP firm managing the case How the Register Works (Technical Context) No API exists - the data must be scraped from the web interface. The search page accepts a name query and returns paginated results. Search results URLs follow the pattern: /eiir/search-results/{base64_encoded_search_term}/{page_number} Each result links to a case detail page at /eiir/case-details/... containing all fields above in structured HTML. The site is server-rendered HTML (no JavaScript framework rendering), making parsing straightforward. The search term in the URL is standard base64-encoded text. Suggested Approach The typical method (which has worked before) is: Systematic search iteration - cycle through common surnames, alphabetical letter combinations, or other strategies to ensure full coverage of all records on the register. Collect all case detail URLs from paginated search results. Deduplicate case URLs (the same record may appear under multiple search terms). Visit each case detail page and parse the HTML to extract all required fields. Address parsing — split the "Last known address" field into Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, and Postcode. Compile into a single CSV or Excel file with one row per record. Polite rate limiting (delays between requests) should be used to avoid overloading the server or triggering blocks. Deliverables The complete dataset as a CSV and/or Excel file, with all fields above, one row per record. The scraping script (Python preferred but open to other languages), so we can re-run this periodically. Brief documentation on how to re-run the script (dependencies, any configuration needed). Important Notes We need all records currently on the register, not just a sample. Please confirm your approach to achieving full coverage. The data is publicly available under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We have done this before and know it is achievable — please only apply if you are confident you can deliver. This is urgent - we need this turned around quickly. Please state your estimated delivery time when quoting.

UK based lawyer/solicitor to help with legal expenses cover
I have legal expenses cover via my policy with Hiscox. Hiscox passed over the legal claim I want to lodge against a third party, to Arag insurance, which aquired DAS insurance a few years ago. Arag insurance, passed the claim to 'Arag Law', their own law firm, who have looked at the claim and even tough the merits of the claim have greater than 51% odds of success, they are still refusing cover because the companies public house records show that they only have £100 in the bank. My claim is against three entities, which operate 13 venue's in London including the largest venue in Holborn, where most of the business took place and they owe a significant amount of money from unpaid fee's and they have breached their contract with us repeatedly, poaching clients, unjustly enriching themselves. The parent company makes ALOT of money. These venue's bring in ALOT of money, yet, the insurance companies current position is that if a judgement was obtained, we wouldn't get the money, because of the public records from companies house which, is not an accurate representation of how we could recover monies owed. Under the policy, I am allowed to get a second expert opinion to review the claim and dispute the decision, before escalating to the financial ombudsman if needed. I am looking for a UK BASED legal representative, to help me navigate this project, knowing full well that if a judgement was secured against the defendants that, with freezing orders, the assets inside the venue's, stock, non money negotiated settlements through offsetting mechanisms from future events, it would actually be very easy for us to recoup what's owed to us. PLEASE, no shady people outside the UK who have false promises. I need a genuine representative with legal knowledge, similar to that of a mckenzie friend, who isn't going to rip me off like a traidtional solicitors firm who could probably sort it out but if not sorted out, all the risk would fall on myself. The claim has merits, the issue is they don't think that if a judgement came, we would get the money. I strongly, disagree. If anyone has legal knowledge to help with this, has been through something similar or some other reasons sparks your interest, get in touch! There's no harm in having a chat to see what can be discussed. PERFORMANCES RELATED RESULTS PLEASE. Make your own offers based on milestones of success. Do not say what you cannot deliver. Be expected to show proof of previous work or anything that supports your understanding of law in this area and please don't pop up trying to wing it. I am not in experienced, but this is a technical matter and I am looking to work with someone who can help me achieve more than what I could do independently. The stakes are high, the legal expenses cover is there. My business is owed a SIGNIFICANT amount of money and with the right ADR, I think something could be worked out properly but on top of that, getting the value from the insurance policy we have a legal right to obtain is the main focus and secondary paths can be explored once that one has been exhausted using the remedies available to all policy holders like me. I welcome and genuine offer to work on this project, all offers will be reviewed with respect and I will personally write to every enquiry to inform of a yes or no. DON'T BID UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY MEET THE CRITERIA AND HAVE THE BACKGROUND TO OFFER GENUINE SUPPORT. Thankyou. I have over £500k in legal expenses cover. I have set the project price as £300 as a guide for up front payment to look through the claim and strategise for the primary objectives but I remain open to alternative offers and paths and will look at everything strategically asseing it's commercial impact accordingly.
