Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are a Birmingham (UK)-based company developing a new embedded hardware product for the retail sector. We need a reliable and experienced embedded developer to:
- Develop test firmware to validate our PCB's components during production
- Build or guide the creation of a functional test jig (FCT)
This project consists of working with a PCB consisting of a MCU (NXP), ADC, Inclinometer & Loadcell. Business developed firmware must also be inserted onto the PCB using Flash Magic allowing the PCB to function.
Project Scope:
- Create firmware to test various functions (sensor readings, I/O control, serial comms)
- Include pass/fail logic based on predefined thresholds
- Include user feedback via LED/button
- Jig hardware implementation (optional)
We will share full technical details (schematics, register maps, component specs, etc.)
Deliverables:
- Firmware binary + source
- Jig design & assembly (wiring diagram, bill of materials, or assembled unit)
- Basic documentation for operator/test use
