Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Not sure
I require the expertise of a mathematician/statistician to analyse forex/currency trading data to determine which algorithms and settings will provide the highest probability of profits over the relative short term (weeks not years).
The data will consist of visual charts (see attached example), trading analysis, and raw trading data (if required).
The initial job is to take trading data and provide objective and statistically backed up report on which algo’s will be the most likely to be profitable, and if any improvements/adjustments can be made such as entry/exit times, fixed stop loss distances, trailing stops, fixed profit levels, drawdown minimisation etc.
There are approximately 50 demo accounts running 24/7. You will analyse the data and provide a list of the best algos based on my criteria.
I would also like an automated way to continue this in future. This may beyond the scope of this job (as a programmer may be required) so please let me know when quoting what your skills are. E.g. I would like a weekly new report generated (ideally automatically) on which algos did well, which need to be removed etc. If this requires a manual process then I may require your services on a regular basis but of course this depends on costs.
You must be a qualified mathematician (ideally post-grad, Masters, PhD), not just someone good at math. You do not need to know anything about the markets or trading as I will explain how it works. In fact, it may be best if you don’t know much about the markets as I prefer an unbiased and scientific approach than one with previous judgement.
As I have no idea how much this may cost, my budget and timeframe is flexible. However, please quote reasonably also considering I may require ongoing future work. Thanks
