Nonfiction Ebook Proofreader & Formatter

We are looking for a skilled proofreader and book formatter to prepare a 50-page nonfiction manuscript for publication. The manuscript is already written and available as a Google Docs (.odt/.docx) file. We need a clean, professional layout suitable for print-on-demand platforms such as Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. If you are also able to produce EPUB files, that will be considered a strong advantage. Scope of Work 1. Proofreading (light) Review the text to catch any typos, obvious mistakes, or big grammatical errors. Make sure headings and formatting remain consistent throughout the document. 2. Print Formatting Format the manuscript into a print-ready layout with: Proper margins, gutter, and spacing Consistent paragraph and heading styles Professional typography Table of contents Page numbers and running headers/footers Deliver a PDF ready for upload on: Amazon KDP IngramSpark Preferred trim size: 5.83 x 8.27 inches. 3. Optional (Highly Appreciated): Creation of a clean EPUB version for Kindle and other ebook platforms. Deliverables Proofread and formatted manuscript (print-ready). Print-ready PDF for KDP + IngramSpark (with embedded fonts, correct margins, bleed options as needed). EPUB file (optional but appreciated). The updated source file A short checklist confirming compliance with KDP/IngramSpark requirements. Required Experience Prior experience formatting books for KDP and/or IngramSpark. Proofreading skills in English. Proficiency with formatting tools. Ability to deliver clean, elegant layouts for nonfiction books. A portfolio or samples of previously formatted books.
