Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Description of legal work: Our company is currently looking for experienced legal professional in the sphere of e-commerce in regards to our current project. We are looking for a legal advisor that could revise (and amend, if necessary) the drafts of our terms&conditions, disclaimer and privacy policy that were written for our project’s website.
To ensure a better understanding between our parties, it is necessary to introduce and explain our business model and key points that we are wishing to implement in terms&conditions and privacy policy.
Type of business: informational e-commerce website
Products to sell: 1) Information digests (e-books format); 2) Commercial offers/Listings of business service providers.
Area our products belong to: business support (company registration, bank account opening, translation, work migration).
Our clients: worldwide, EU area, CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan), followed by India and China.
Working model:
1) Business service providers can submit their offers at our website (like at https://www.gumtree.com/coventry). To do so, they are required to register an account and provide their personal and contact information, as well as to submit their offer. Listing is free now.
2) On the website users can find: a) info-sheet/digest (e-book format); b) offer/listing of business service provider in the spheres of company registration, bank account opening, translation, work migration.
User experience:
1) User fills in inquiry form to find the provider according to user’s request;
2) User can browse, sort and filter providers;
3) If user is interested in getting contact info, he can choose provider from the search results table;
4) After adding the contact to cart user can make purchase;
3) Users that will buy information digests or commercial offers are not required to register an account, but still need to provide information, if making a purchase: bank card info (in order to proceed the payment); billing info (in order to create an invoice and comply with laws); personal info, location info (necessary to comply with new EU VAT rules);
4) It will still be possible, however, to browse and use certain features of the website without providing specific info: e.g. there will be a possibility to write posts about service/product experience (only basic info like name/surname, age, country of origin) will be required;
5) Generally, we aim to create a concise yet detailed enough terms&conditions and privacy policy, which would take into account our specifics, but would not dramatically differ from popular and ordinary websites. From the legal point of view, it is absolutely essential that every important clause would be present and if something is missing in the provided drafts, it would be brought to our attention.
