London, GBDont think Faraz's strength is in communication or honesty. Tried to change the price after his bid was accepted (and other bids were rejected). Insisted on messaging only (no phone or video call available), and didnt stick to his own imposed 3hr response to any messages he received. No report was also offered for search results so unclear what search was actually carried out, and if the trademark or the design protection will be rejected when first reviewed by UKIPO. The name of the model design registered does also not reflect the model at all (house shape model). Do not have and not supplied with a copy of the text that was actually submitted or copy of the application. Complete unprofessional. No checking for understanding or clarification. Wont use again.

I have very surprised to see this review since everything was done in the best way possible. I will relate all the facts and if there is anything that I write and is untrue, I urge PPH to remove the review. The client was actually seeking Intellectual Property protection for a business model and a name to be trademarked. He had no idea how to protect the concept and I provided advice. This was actually for no charge and it turned out that he chose another freelancer(I think you can see that from the job post). Then he got back to me, and asked if I was still available and for what price. Here are the messages:
"To be explicitly clear, we need both trademark name protection, as well as design protection.
Do you do both and cover both of these? "
and my answer:
"I can do trademark as well for an additional fee of £110. The fees include the registration process for both of them."
His reply was:
"Sorry, Im a little confused now? I thought your fee was for both - trademark the name, and protect a design. At the moment at £200 you are competitive - we still have to pay a trademark fee, and a design fee, c£150 + £170 for both UKIPO fees.
If you are saying to do trademark is an additional fee then unfortunately its outside of our budget, and your competitor is cheaper, with the same experience. If you can do both at £200, as we thought you quoted for, then we'll award you the job."
All this happened before the job was awarded to me. So it is a complete lie that he mentions that I tried to change the price after the bid was accepted. I hope PPH can have a look at this because this is so unfair.
I agreed to the price of £200 for registration of both trademark and design patent. The price is an absolute bargain as any high street law firm would charge over £1000. I was already spending so much time on the job and if I offered consultation via phone or video call, it just wouldn't be worth the effort. On top on that, the client wanted a search for which I could have asked additional compensation but I just threw it in the package for free. He asked for a report, and he had the opportunity to pay more for this extra service but he really wanted all (Registration of trademark. Patent, Search for both of them, reports for both of them, Phone/video consultation) for £200!
Here is my reply to him:
"No. The search is a quick one and if I had to provide a copy of the search results, I'd have to charge for it. "
I still did my best.
