Education Edit is an international editorial publication focused on the human side of schools. The writing is long-form, with a precise, controlled tone. We need a native English editor to review a 10-page teaser (media kit). The text is already strong. What it needs is a careful edit to make sure the phrasing feels natural and consistent, and that nothing reads as slightly off. This is an editorial edit, not a rewrite. Turnaround is 48 hours. Please include your quote for this task. There is potential for ongoing work as the publication develops. We are looking for someone with strong editorial judgement, someone who knows when to change a sentence and when to leave it alone. Journalism or magazine experience preferred. British English standard. As part of your application, please edit the short paragraph below. Keep changes minimal and explain briefly what you changed and why. Most coverage of education focuses on systems, data and policy. Education Edit focuses on people: the teachers making decisions in difficult rooms, the leaders navigating what no manual covers, and the moments that shape students and staff but never appear in official reports. To apply, send a short note on how you approach editing, your quote for the first task, and your edited version of the paragraph above with brief comments.

Project Description: I am looking for an experienced developmental editor who specializes in the cosy mystery genre to provide a comprehensive Manuscript Evaluation (editorial letter) for my completed rough draft. About the Book: Genre: Cosy Mystery Word Count: Approx. 100,000 words (I am aware this is on the longer side for the genre and am open to structural advice on where to tighten and trim). Mystery Mechanics: Is the balance of clues and red herrings effective? Does the reveal feel earned but not overly predictable? Pacing & Structure: Where does the story lag? Where can the narrative be tightened to bring the word count closer to genre standards? Character Arcs: Does the amateur sleuth’s internal journey make sense alongside the murder investigation? Ideal Freelancer Requirements: Proven experience editing cosy mysteries (please mention past titles or authors you have worked with in your proposal). A firm understanding of cosy tropes and reader expectations. Honest, constructive, and actionable feedback. How to Apply: When submitting your proposal, please provide your flat-fee rate for a 100,000-word Manuscript Evaluation. Proof read business/self-help manuscript
I'm looking for an experienced freelance editor and proofreader with subject matter expertise (SME) in financial markets to work on my business/self-help manuscript. This is an updated and upgraded edition of an existing published book, so the editor must be comfortable working within an established framework while helping sharpen and modernise the content. This is not a quick proofread—I need someone who understands financial markets deeply enough to flag inaccuracies, outdated information, and inconsistencies while also elevating the writing quality throughout. What I need: • Proofreading (grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency) • Line editing (clarity, flow, sentence structure) • Subject matter review — flagging any financial content that needs updating, clarification, or fact-checking • Feedback on tone and readability for a business/finance audience What I'm looking for in you: • Demonstrable expertise in financial markets (trading, investing, capital markets, or related fields) • Experience editing business, finance, or self-help non-fiction • A portfolio or samples of previous finance-related editing work • Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to meet deadlines To apply, please share your background in financial markets, relevant editing samples, your estimated turnaround, and your rate. Quality is my priority, and I'm happy to discuss the budget with the right candidate. Looking forward to finding a true professional who brings both editorial and financial expertise to this project.

This isn't a corporate explainer. This isn't a talking-head testimonial. This is a cinematic, high-energy product promo that showcases what our platform actually does, and makes the viewer feel like they're watching something spectacular. **The Quality Bar We are looking for editors who can match or exceed the production quality of these three videos. Do not apply if you cannot honestly say your work competes at this level: Pixis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq0E7jMowRI Wondercraft: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1jujbuJ7KM Base44: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wzhsrwSOTY Watch all three before applying. I need to give a print ready pdf to the printers and currently tearing my hair out over it. I need to first page removed so the document will start on the right hand facing page if that makes sense. The doc is set up with mirror margins for the book gutter and all pages are in specific places to work with the double page spreads that are in there and make sure chapters start on the right hand page.
