SolidWorks 3D model from ship blueprints (PDF) → laser-cut
Experience Level: Expert Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks I need an experienced SolidWorks CAD designer to recreate an 86m inland vessel (scale 1:60) from scanned PDF shipyard drawings, including the hull lines plan. Goal: produce a laser-cut plywood model kit (tabs/slots) with a frame/bulkhead hull structure for accurate hull shape. Outer appearance should be realistic; internal structure should be strong. The model will become RC, so include space for battery/components (rough layout is enough). Required Output • SolidWorks Parts (.SLDPRT) for all components • SolidWorks Assemblies (.SLDASM) with logical sub-assemblies • 2D DXF exports (laser-cut ready) for all wooden parts • Part numbering for laser engraving (to prevent build mistakes) Critical Requirements • Hull frames match the lines plan accurately • Parametric thickness control: • Longitudinal spine thickness adjustable • All cross frames thickness adjustable via one parameter • All slots update automatically • Must be done in milestones with 3–4 review checkpoints for feedback SolidWorks for “professional use” or “for makers” is fine either way. Read-check (mandatory): How many years of SolidWorks experience do you have, and do you have experience with wooden kits OR ship drawings/lines plans? Create a super simple example (in Solid Works) based on the line plan in the attachment. Do this for 3 or 4 frames and then add the skin over them. Add the assembly and parts to your offer. If this is not done, I will not consider your proposal. A few drawings have been added as examples. The rest will be shared once the assignment has been finalized.

3d Scan to Fusion 360 A-Z to teach me
I need someone who can live show me/teach me how to convert a 3d point cloud scan (from Creality Scan) into a solid parametric object in Fusions360. I have aligned and merged the object into a single object and saved it in .asci .obj and .stl format. its an organic item and so there is around 1.5million triangles. i need to design a tight fitting base for the object with complex geomtery and so its important there is not realistic loss of fidelity 0.1mm or so. i would like to import and use this in Fusion360 but it is simply too large i feel. i have tried reducing but its imperative that the geometry isn't too badly affected. the file is 85mb so cannot upload at posting the project.

BIM modelling – 10 elevations of office wall (WoodNLite)
Project description We’re WoodNLite (woodnlite.com) and need an experienced BIM modeller to produce BIM-ready files for a wood-and-glass office partition system. Scope: 10 elevations (architectural elevations of the partition wall types) plus parametric profiles, door and sidelite families, and the detailed hardware variants listed below. Files must be accurate, production-ready, and easy to specify by architects and contractors. What we need Deliver high-quality BIM assets for our wood-and-glass partition system that can be dropped into Revit (and exported to IFC/DWG). Work includes: 10 elevation drawings / 3D elevation models of typical partition wall conditions (architectural scale). Parametric profiles for wood rails and stiles (so widths & glass lite patterns can be adjusted). Door and sidelite families: Door + one sidelite Door + two sidelites (one either side) One as above withPair doors Each of the above with: overhead closer, built-in bottom rail closer, and floor closer variants (so 3 hardware variants per elevation where applicable). Glass panes, gaskets, and simple glass hardware represented (not engineering-level connections unless requested). A materials/finishes schedule (names and simple parameters: wood species, glass type, finish). Exportable files: native Revit .rvt and .rfa families, IFC, DWG (plans/elevations/sections), and optional SketchUp/ArchiCAD if available. Level of detail: suitable for specification and coordination (LOD 300 / BIM for design documentation). Please state if you propose LOD 350/400 and pricing for that. File & delivery expectations (Acceptance criteria) Cleanly named families and views (consistent naming convention). Fully parametric profiles for stiles/rails and hardware (users must be able to change rail width and pull handles and locking ladder pull). One Revit project file containing the 10 elevations with correct scale and annotation (and separate family files for doors and sidelites). IFC export that preserves geometry and material names. DWG elevations and a simple PDF set (for quick review). A short PDF or text readme listing model assumptions, unit settings, and how to edit the parametric options. Models checked for geometry errors (no overlapping solids; families should be workset-ready). Provide 3 sample renders/screenshots of representative elevations. Sample elevations / variations to model (from us) Door + two sidelite (one each side) Door + two sidelites (free swing) Door + two sidelites (overhead closer) Door + two sidelites (built-in bottom rail closer) Door + two sidelites (floor closer) (These are examples — include additional typical partition conditions among the 10 elevations: full-height, partial-height, fixed glazed panel with wood stiles, corner condition, entry with transom, etc.) What to quote / include in your proposal Fixed price (or hourly with estimated hours). Do not assume a timeline from us — include your proposed lead time in your bid. What file formats you will deliver (minimum: Revit .rvt/.rfa, IFC, DWG, PDF). Your proposed LOD and whether you can deliver optional LOD upgrade and at what price. Short portfolio of 2–3 previous BIM projects, preferably partitions, curtain walls, or bespoke joinery families. Short note on the Revit version you’ll use and whether families will be backward-compatible (or if you’ll supply multiple versions). Confirmation you will supply a short readme and basic usage instructions. Any assumptions or exclusions (e.g., not providing MEP coordination, structural connections, shop drawings). Required skills Expert Revit BIM modelling (families & parametrics) — required IFC export and DWG production — required Experience creating LOD300+ architectural families and parametric profiles Good understanding of architectural joinery, doors, and glazing details Clear communication, timely updates, and delivery of a packaged file set Selection criteria We’ll evaluate proposals on: Relevant BIM portfolio & previous experience with partitions / joinery Clarity of deliverables and format compatibility Price vs scope and LOD offered Estimated lead time (please include in bid) and communication plan How to apply Reply with: Short cover note (1–2 paragraphs) Deliverable checklist confirming formats you’ll provide Fixed price (or hourly + estimated hours) and any optional LOD pricing Example files/screenshots or links to past work (Revit families preferred) Your proposed lead time We’ll shortlist bidders and may ask for a paid trial (1 elevation + 1 family) to confirm quality before awarding the full job.
Rhino/Grasshopper Building Design Support
I’m developing a new building concept in Rhino and need a Grasshopper expert to turn my early sketches into a flexible, parametric workflow. The priority is simulations, so everything you build should help me iterate building massing, façade logic, and core spatial layouts quickly. Here’s what I’m looking for: • A clean, well-commented Grasshopper definition (.gh) that drives key building parameters—height, floor-to-floor, façade modules, and structural grids. • An accompanying Rhino file (.3dm) showing the definition in action on a sample building. • A short PDF or Markdown brief explaining slider names, data structures, and how to tweak the script. I’m open to your preferred approach—whether that involves custom algorithm development, geometry modeling tricks, or data-rich visualizations—so long as the end result is easy for me to extend. If you can incorporate simple energy- or daylight-related hooks, that’s a bonus. Collaboration will be iterative: we’ll agree on core parameters, you’ll share a first pass, I’ll test in my own Rhino environment, then we’ll refine until the tool is production-ready. Clear versioning (e.g., GH_01, GH_02) and prompt communication are essential. If you’re comfortable with parametric design for buildings and enjoy translating design intent into streamlined Grasshopper scripts, let’s get started.
RCCB Slider Slot Spring Mechanism Design
We Are Developing a Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) Currently, most RCCBs use a toggle (up-down handle) mechanism for ON/OFF operation. We want to replace the toggle mechanism with a slider slot + spring mechanism, where the user will operate the RCCB,using vertical slider instead of a toggle. Scope of Work: Study the existing toggle + spring RCCB mechanism. Redesign the ON/OFF operation to use a slider slot with spring return. Ensure the slider engages with latch & trip mechanism properly. Provide 3D CAD design (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD). Provide 2D technical drawings with dimensions. Exploded view of assembly. Skills Required: Mechanical design for electromechanical products. CAD modelling (SolidWorks / Creo / AutoCAD). Knowledge of toggle / slider mechanisms with spring action. Experience in switchgear or circuit breaker design is a plus. Deliverables: CAD files (3D + 2D). Exploded view of the new slider slot spring mechanism. Material list (BOM) Note: I want to make the mechanism of that switch after watching the video that I sent

Rhino/Grasshopper Developer for Configurator (Trial Project)
We are developing a balustrade configurator and require a specialist to build the parametric system in Rhino/Grasshopper. This first project is for our Aluminium Balustrade system, which is relatively simple compared to others. We already have the DWG files for all components — the task is to program the rules and logic so the system works correctly. The configurator needs to: Apply balustrade layout rules (straight runs, corners, stairs, gates). Enforce spacing (e.g. posts max 1830 mm apart, evenly distributed). Generate outputs: Bill of Materials (BOM) with parts and quantities. Cutting lists for rails and spacers. Dimensioned layout drawings (to our CAD style standards). This is a trial project. If successful, we have 5 additional balustrade systems that will be offered as follow-up projects. Once we this trial job is completed, we will then integrate into Shapedriver which will then be the software that makes this into a live configurator on my e-commerce website. Please look up Shapedriver as they have a lot of good content and will give you a very good understanding of their system. (https://www.shapediver.com)
