Description
Experience Level: Expert
As part of project outputs, we provide clients with a diagram of where data is going to and from (geographically, e.g. from UK to Hong Kong; and Germany to USA); what the data is being used for (e.g. recruitment and employee performance monitoring); and the types of data being shared (e.g. contact details (name, email, phone); and sensitive personal data (e.g. health records).
We want to have a standard template infographic / data flow diagram which will articulate a lot of information in a simple design and 1 page document. This would be used for both: PDF reports; and potentially for use on an online system (software).
An example of a scenario which would need to be captured by the graphic / schematic would be:
a) I'm a company located in the UK. I receive data from 15 other businesses also located within the UK. The data is sensitive information of the 15 company businesses customers. It is used for the purpose of fraud monitoring. The receiving company is acting as a "data processor" of that data, on behalf of the sending companies who are "data controllers"; or
b) I'm a company located in the UK with 150 to 200 employees. I collect their data when recruiting and use the data for payroll purposes; on boarding; background screening; performance of their contract of employment; pension scheme administration and so on; I share this data (as a data controller) to third party companies (e.g. Microsoft or Amazon Web services) who host the data on my behalf (e.g. in the US or in Ireland).
The ask of you would be to create a template(s) which would allow us to articulate this information in a simple diagram. This could be within the same country or global data sharing.

Hi Paul,
what software do you require the template in? And what is your timescale?
Kind regards
Theresa
