What you get with this Offer
Your existing Wordpress installation backed up and professionally migrated to your new host.
The process:
1) BACKUP - A backup is taken of your existing installation (files and database).
2) PREPARE - Ensure the new hosting environment is setup to, correctly, host your site.
3) TRANSFER - The installation is uploaded to your new host.
4) UPDATE - The latest Wordpress updates are applied to your installation
5) VERIFY - Links and media are verified and a basic performance benchmark made.
6) DOMAIN - Your domain's DNS records are updated to point to your new host
Downtime: Theoretically, there will be no downtime. Visitors will continue to see the website on your old host until the DNS servers that their ISP use update themselves. When the visitors DNS records are updated from your domains DNS records the new site will be shown for the visitor resulting in, what should be, a seamless transfer. It can take up-to 48 hours (although usually just an hour or two) for DNS servers around the world to update themselves with the new changes - this is a process known as propagation.
