Berlin, DEI worked with Leon to proofread my dissertation and edit its footnotes in OSCOLA style, which is one of the most common styles in the UK. I wanted to work with him since he is a registered proofreader for Essex and Liverpool Universities.
When I received the ‘final’ version of my dissertation, the footnotes were almost untouched (excl. a couple of changes which were irrelevant to OSCOLA) even though I have underlined my OSCOLA expectation in my job posting. Moreover, he had no proper excuse for this inconvenience. It was super unprofessional. After all, he deducted 25% off the final bill, but I had to send my dissertation with improper footnotes.
Overall, he is fast; he can proofread/edit 14,000 word-long dissertation within 2-3 days. The quality of his work was average. He has no idea about OSCOLA. He is easy to reach, always online during the reasonable hours.
Sorry but I must say "2 out of 5: Not good"Leon P.
Please see all my other reviews. Unfortunately, this job arrived very late and needed doing very rapidly. The proofing was excellent, in the timescale permitted, but the footnotes had to be done in just two hours.
