Travel Consultant Required for SME Business
Hi, I have currently founded and built the website for an Irish Travel Brand called unheardadventures.com The website aims to provide a platform for the hidden tourism experiences across the Island of Ireland. To date, we have around 30 providers on site, and have spoken to approx 100 across the last year to gauge whether the site is of interest to them. A couple of problems we have faced to date include; 1. The experience providers do not host regular events- this means that any consumer who wishes to book, only has a very limited window to do so 2. A lot the experience providers are outside the city and transport to these destinations is hard 3. Building a brand with limited budget and limited content from these experience providers has also been a challenge- small experience providers don't put a lot of credence on photography, surprisingly. As a result, sales have been minimimal As a step 2, we tried to launch a tour - thinking that taking a comission from experience provides + comissions for food and transport on top of this, would also be a healthy revenue stream, however both my co-founder and I do not reside in Ireland (albeit we are from there) As a result, we need some help into a) Understanding the gaps in the industry- and hence defining our continued direction b) what other opportunities/ revenue streams are worth exploring in the travel industry that we could trial. c) Understanding who we are as a brand, based off this- ie. should we explore travel tech, go into the world of DMCs (and if so, how), etc We need an experienced travel consultant, who is happy to provide guidance, advice and help identify new opportunities for us to explore. Someone who can commit to ongoing communication that can act as a sounding board for progress. Experience of the irish tourism market not essential. We are looking to consult with someone who has travel knowledge globally, can understand revenue streams and opportunities more broadly, to which we can take this back to the Irish market.
