Greetings I am not just looking a 'great illustrator' but somebody that understands the age group their targeting.. This is a project that will be starting from 2026 January and I am giving a 6 month time frame for the illustrator to get the illustrations done. January will be a time of meetings and research and from February to July- will be the time frame to get the illustrations done. I love the animated nigerian cartoon movie called IWAJU: it really shows Nigeria in a vibrant and colourful way and that's how I want my Childrens book to be from 5 - 7 years old. I want an illustrator that can work independently after gathering enough information In January. I am not a fan of 'cheesy' illustrations ie speech marks or really big close up of characters or comic style illustrations, it's very important that the illustrator that I work with knows the dose and donts of illustrations and it's best to be up to date with illustrations and children especially 5-7 years old: the illustration presentation on the page will not be the same. You will see like a heartbeat in the background from a monitor and that's due to a heart condition that I had and had it fixed. You can barely see it in the final image that I like the best from the AI generation I'm also including a picture of me and my wife not sure if that could be incorporated into this as during my podcast this will be behind me on the background and also on the website I'm not a designer so I will let you be creative and see what you come up with. I would like to see the vehicles be more of a generated version of our actual vehicles. They're pretty close but would like to see the black truck be all black but more looking like it if that's possible let me know what other questions that you need answered. I need a copy of the Optima fontset on my Mac (OS Sequoia 15.5) with the only difference from the original that the crossbar of the capital A has been removed.
