Description
Experience Level: Expert
I'm looking for very high quality, engaging writing for multiple landing pages on my wedding photography website.
I'm really not looking for a ‘weddingy' tone of voice - nothing romantic or cheesy, no fluff. Please send me samples of your work along with your proposals. I'm not necessarily looking for someone with any wedding industry knowledge or experience, in fact it may help coming from more of a commercial/editorial angle.
These landing pages will be optimised at a later stage for wedding photography related search for specific regions and wedding venues, therefore the content needs to be strong and compelling enough to encourage people to click further into the site. If the language isn’t right then the search will just result in a bounce, so it has to be absolutely perfect.
I appreciate I keep going on about the tone of voice however I’ve had quite a bit of writing done by copywriters via PPH and whist it’s been good there always seems to be a slightly cheesy undertone.
Here’s one I’ve written for London: https://www.allisterfreeman.co.uk/london-wedding-photographers/
And here’s one I’ve written for a wedding venue: https://www.allisterfreeman.co.uk/weddings/babington-house-wedding-photographer/
It's actually really hard to write about a region or venue and pull in wedding photography in a stylish, non-cringeworthy manner and without it coming across as a blatant attempt to pull in traffic, which is obviously the purpose of the page but just feels a little cheap and off-putting.
I’m willing to pay good money for good content, each page is taking me around 6 hours to write and I just cannot afford the time. I’ll be doing the optimisation at a later stage so please don’t even think SEO when putting them together, think of it as more of a wedding feature in a glossy/high end magazine or supplement.
Currently I have three venues that each need 500 words and ten UK counties that need 1000 words each. There will be research needed, my site should shed quite a bit of light in terms of customer and product (https://www.allisterfreeman.co.uk), and Google for the rest.
I would also like three 1000 word articles created for Jewish, Indian and Chinese weddings (which will require extensive research to include marriage rituals/traditions) and how my photography works with the faith/culture.
In terms of timelines, happy to dripfeed stuff as I’ll still need to spend several hours optimising each page before publishing, but I would like to have everything completed by the end of March. I will supply a prioritised list once we go ahead.
