Website copy and linkbuilding

I am looking for someone to help me increase not just the relevant traffic to our website (www.moneysmartworld.com) but also the number of eventual sales. Having used a site optimisation company before, we’re convinced that our url was just submitted at random to a number of search engines, and blog sites to make the numbers look good.

So although the website’s alexa ranking is high and it gets a lot of hits, the online sales conversion ratio is extremely low. Most of the online sales have come from referrals from other highly ranked websites that I took the time to get to link to the site. However, this is not our area of specialty and I would like someone to take this on board.

Considering the current economic climate and the fact that we specialize in selling financial literacy material aimed at helping parents and teachers teach children about money, I believe that our online sales should be better.

So our requirements are for:
(1) A rewrite of the copy of the key pages (e.g., home page, products page, eBooks page and any other page that you feel needs to be improved) to make it really grab the attention of our customers and convince them to buy the products. As you will note, we have three types of customers • teachers, parents and overseas buyers.
(2) Linkbuilding for the following three product ranges:
a - links from at least 50 -100 relevant and highly ranked UK teaching web sites like www.teachingideas.co.uk (already have a link from them), www.tes.co.uk (already have a link from them) to our teachers page and home page.
b - Links from at least 100 relevant and highly ranked parental type UK websites (like mums.net, primarytimes.co.uk, parental forums etc) to our parent’s page and home page.
c - Links from at least 100 relevant and highly ranked US parental type websites to our eBooks page and home page.
d - Links from at least 100 relevant and highly ranked European website to our eBooks page.

Please note that I’m aware that these numbers can be achieved by submitting the url to various search engines, but that is not what we are after. We currently get clicks from over hundreds of sites in a month but only get credible online customers from less than 10 of those sites.

Thus the deliverables from this project would be (1) the updated copy and (2) a list of all the sites that link in or are in the process of providing a link to us, so that this can be validated and chased up.

If there are any other suggestions for helping us achieve our ultimate goal of more online sales, please include this in your bid and quote.

I would like bids from providers with a track record of providing excellent copy and who can demonstrate the link to increased sales. Please note that we are a small firm with a limited budget and due to past experiences, only want to pay for a provider that will achieve results.
