Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 4 to 6 weeks
Hi Guys,
I am looking for someone to translate very accurately my professionally written English subtitle files into another subtitle file in their foreign language, the subject matter is Scuba Diving and I have provided a 8.5 minute example file with this job offer.
I am interested in the following 6 languages...
Spanish (Latin American)
French (Mainland France) - I do not want Swiss-French, Belgium or Canadian.
German (Mainland) - I do not want Austrian or Swiss-German.
Portuguese (Brazilian)
Japanese
Chinese Mandarin (Traditional) - Or instead Simplified I would take advice on this.
Conditions:
I will be accepting 1 person for each of these languages, if you are interested in working on more than one let me know. Offer your best price and what language you can do on this job offer and I can then create a separate job offer just for your language when I select you.
I ask that you please review the sample (.SRT) file and the (.word) document that contains some of the technical scuba diver related words, to see if this is something you are capable of doing well in translating. Once we agree a price I would expect you to translate this test file and I have it checked by scuba divers who speak your language, then we can go ahead and work to a fixed deadline.
Once agreement is made I will be providing you with 170 subtitle files, that relate to 22 hours of video using spoken English language (audio files can be provided, if that will help with subtitle timing). You will provide me back with translated (.SRT) files, so I can upload these to Vimeo.
PLEASE understand I know exactly how AUTO translated generated subtitles work and they are NOT at all what I am looking for, the videos already have them via Vimeo or YouTube and they are totally NOT acceptable.
Your translation must match accurately, my English subtitle timings as these are already extremely accurate for the spoken English on my training videos.
I estimate there is 352 hours of translation work to be done here, based on 2 people already translating a 7.5 minute video already and it taking them 2 hours to translate, re-check and proof read it. So if we expand that out to someone working 8 to 10 hours a day on this, it will take 4 to 6 weeks to complete.
Look forward to working with you, any questions feel free to ask.
Regards, Steve
