General information for the website: We are a wedding venue directory
Description of every page/module: I need a developer to help me with an update to my website. My website is a wedding venue directory which helps couples find their wedding venue. It is currently developed in Wordpress, however, I want to re-develop it using a combination of Laravel for the back end & html/Wordpress themes for the front end.
Description of requirements/features: Aim of Project
Improve the look & usability of the site. Make it cleaner & more modern looking.
Improve the search functionality so it’s a better user experience.
Make development updates which will enhance the site’s SEO.
Make the back end entry & data management of venue information easier & more flexible.


Project Scope
Review current Wordpress website back/front end & provide advice on if developing the new site using Laravel & html templates/Wordpress themes laravel is the best method for the re-development.
Once best development method is confirmed I need you to:
Make the back end process of entering venue’s details/changing details much easier & more flexible. The site currently uses a large number of Advanced Custom Fields which aren’t very flexible & don’t allow me to make changes.
Develop new site features, including:
- An Admin section for venues so they can make their own changes/create their own profiles.
- Adding a review section where couples can review venues.
- Allow users to ‘Favourite’ venues without needing to login.
Create email automation features to better move couples through the process, including follow up emails after the initial enquiry is made up until after their wedding.
Venues are paying different levels of membership so the homepage layout & search functionality needs to be adapted to support the different tiers of membership.
Improve search functionality; both on the homepage & on the refine search bar to be more user-friendly & to include different criteria.
Move the website to a new hosting service.


What You Need
I do not have a technical background so need someone who can provide me with options & advice in non-technical terms on the best ways to achieve what I want to with the update.
Have experience developing lifestyle websites/websites which are very much based on style & the visuals; wedding industry-based experience would be a plus.
Search engine & refine search development experience a must.
Ensure all development is mobile/tablet responsive.
Strong English skills so that we can talk through your designs & recommendations.

I would like to have a fixed price for this project & I’m keen to develop a relationship with a developer for the long term. I can provide a detailed brief once you have been selected, however, please provide a ballpark estimate for the time/hours it will take to complete a project like this in your application.

Please provide examples of similar projects you have worked on.
