Description
Experience Level: Entry
I am looking to develop a website that allows customers to submit offers to opted in third party e-commerce websites for products listed on their website. Similar to eBay’s “make me an offer” concept but essentially this would be done through our centralised platform.
Example
Customer wants to purchase Nike Air Force 1 Shoes, size uk8, white.
They are sold by 3 retailers who are registered to our platform - seller a, seller b and seller c. Each of them have the shoes listed at various prices between £80 - £84.99 excluding shipping.
The customer wants to pay £70.00 excluding shipping.
They can choose to submit this bid to one, two or all three sellers.
The bid is delivered to the retailers account (and optional to their company email).
The retailers can choose to accept, counter or reject the offer.
Each bid has a expiration time - 1 day, 3 days, 7 days or 30 days - set by the bidder.
Once a retailer accepts the bid, the other offers to the other retailers are automatically withdrawn.
Our website takes a refundable £20.00 deposit. This is refunded once the order has been paid for. Should the order not be completed the deposit is retained and split 50/50 between ourselves and the retailer.
The retailer issued an invoice from themselves or we can do it on their behalf, depending how they have been set up (we charge higher fees for the latter).
The retailers can apply certain rules / restrictions to their items such as
Excluding brands
Setting minimum offers (either by monetary amount or percentage)
I need the website created - it needs to look sleek and sophisticated as this would be aimed at higher end items and retailers
Buyers need to be able to register
Adding retailers would be done in the backend manually
Need a legal way of pulling and displaying the retailers available stock on our website including size variations etc
First milestone would be building out an MVP.
