We are a busy digital agency seeking a reliable backend or full-stack developer to join our small team of professionals as a contractor. Our team is rounded out with designers, copywriters, frontend developers and photographers - don't have very difficult backend work, but you'll need to be ready to stand on your own and help the team with your expertise.

Type of Work:
Custom backend development to assist frontend developers & designers
Technical writing & program documentation
Bug fixing, troubleshooting, testing/staging/production deployments, web server maintenance
CMS modifications, plugins and enhancements

Requirements:
Proficient with PHP. Multiple-language candidates preferred
Proficient with Object Oriented PHP and/or MVC including Laravel
Proficient with MySQL, Queries and Data Construction
Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Basic understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as ReactJS, Gulp, Webpack
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Solid understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
Proficient understanding of REST APIs and consuming external APIs
Solid understanding of AWS Infrastructure and CI/CD Pipelines

Nice to have:
Experience with Laravel, Sylius, Vue.js, Typescript, Wordpress, Strapi, GraphQL and/or Python

Schedule:
Hourly as needed (5-20/hrs per week)
