Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I have a WordPress website. One page allows a user to sign up for regular emails, supplying their first and last name, and their email. There is a Submit button on the page that needs to be wired up.
I have also a php script which is designed to be called by the Submit button. This places the first and last name and email into a database, together with a unique identifier and a toggle. It also sends an email to the user with a link that includes the identifier.
When the user clicks the link, another php script is called which flips the database toggle to indicate it was a valid signup, and displays the original sign up page with a message confirming success.
Over time, the user will be sent the emails, which will contain an “unsubscribe” link. The link will include the user’s unique identifier. Clicking the link will call a third php script which flips the database toggle back to inactive then calls a simple confirmation webpage.
The php scripts have been tested independently and are working correctly, but they are not incorporated into the WordPress site. I need someone to embed the php into the site.
