We have a website designed to match users (property owners) who post a job or project and the site will match them or make suggestions of available contractors in the area. Contractors can search for jobs as well. The site also works as a directory to list all registered contractors.

I have neglected this project for several years, and now I want to revive it. There may be some modules that are not needed and or probably forgotten what they do.

So, we are seeking an experienced PHP developer to modernize this website's backend and UI of servicesbillboard.com site, last updated several years ago, uses PHP 4, which is now deprecated. The selected freelancer will audit the existing codebase, upgrade all PHP components to the current version standard to ensure compatibility and security. They will optimize the site architecture to work seamlessly across desktop and mobile devices. Improvements to site speed and responsive design will be prioritized. The goal is to bring new life to this old site through modernized code and an enhanced user experience for all visitors regardless of device. Strong PHP skills and experience leading similar projects from assessment to delivery are essential.

Will consider a full rebuild in any framework that is secure, and easy for me to manage. I am not a coder. Would like it more user friendly, simpler, less bulky, secured, seo, mobile friendly or converting the site to a modern web app.
