Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Web Widget Module
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of every page/module: We require a web widget to be written for our customers to drop onto their websites. The widget will contain several graphs and a table, the data for which will be retrieved from a JSON web API.
The web widget should be written in a form where the source code lives on our server, and all the client needs to do is link to it via a div element or something such as this.
There needs to be the ability for each implementation of the widget to pass a Guid ID in from the source HTML page which is passed to the web API; this will determine which data is sent back.
The widget should be fully controlled via CSS that can be defined on the client's web site. Any images that are required, (other than ones defined in css) should come from our server.
We will write the web API component.
Description of requirements/features: The widget should be minimized initially, by which we mean only the top bar should be shown. When clicked on, the rest of the page should expand open.
The widget should be responsive.
We are not against using any third party libraries, even if at an additional cost, to do the charting if sufficient benefit would be achieved.
We are looking for a very high level of detail and finish on the project.
The above design is not 100% set in stone, if there are good design reasons for changing the structure, we are open to hear these.
Extra notes: Please see full specification including proposed design attached.
