Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Web / PHP Developer
DigiSEq Limited is seeking a contractor to undertake Web / PHP development of our Client and Admin Web portals.
The Company
DigiSEq Ltd has recently been formed by two senior ex-MasterCard employees to deliver services to product owners and financial institutions wishing to deploy payments functionality (MasterCard and Visa) to consumer devices. With the recent launch of payment solutions such as Apple Pay on the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch, the payments market is evolving, enabling consumers to undertaken payments with devices that are no longer owned by the financial institution providing the payment account.
Digiseq is supporting the shift from the more traditional approach used by financial institutions today for credit / debit card issuance to a more flexible service that more effectively interfaces between the payments industry and new market sectors where payment accounts are now being deployed. To support this market requirement, DigiSEq is developing a range of products, specializing in bespoke provisioning, to support payments on consumer / third party owned devices.
The company is based in Uxbridge (West London).
The Role
The role will report directly to our Software Development Manager. Although a contractor position, the successful candidate is expected to develop expertise in the company’s products and systems over multiple assignments, helping the existing team design and specify our client and admin web portals. The contractor will then implement, test and document those designs and deliver the completed deliverables for integration by the existing team into our systems.
Although the initial project may represent only a few days effort, we anticipate further assignments for the successful candidate on an adhoc basis. It is important to us that we can establish a long term relationship with the selected contractor (with an individual not a company) to undertake work as it becomes available.
We are running Apache on CentOS, we do not use windows ASP.net or MVC. Digiseq will retain rights to all source code developed under each assignment, and will be hosting the portal on our own systems.
Key Deliverables
• Client and admin web portal
• Will integrate with internally developed API (XML POST over HTTPS)
• We are not seeking general website design using a CMS, this deliverable requires the development of technical webpages that plug into our API;s. This includes Secure login, dynamic web forms, client status/info screens (dash board)
• We seek a flexible, expandable code structure developed, to facilitate easy maintenance and expansion. Formal code review of all deliverables will be undertaken internally, keeping things simple and well documented is therefore essential.
Required Skills
• Strong technical web development skills (HTML, PHP, JS, AJAX, CSS)
• Visual / web page design ability
• As the successful candidate is expected to work remotely from their own premises, good communicate via web and telephone are essential.
The Candidate:
• Must be able to work to tight deadlines
• Must be able to communicate in English (via telephone, email and skype)
• Candidates based in the UK who are able to attend face to face meetings at our offices would be preferred but this not essential.
• Due to the nature of our work, the successful candidate must complete satisfactory credit and criminal record checks before being engaged.
