We use a complex excel spreadsheet (it uses macros) to price up jobs for our customers and it also allows us to generate a PDF quote. It is currently used on a desktop. I would like a new software version creating that has the following functionality:

Able to be used on a tablet as well as a desktop and it work when online and offline (I don't always have wifi signal when on site).
For us to be able to easily update the prices associated with the material and installation costs.
For us to be able to load up a previous input and change and resave it as a new version.
For the output to be in pdf format and with an attractive appearance so it can be sent to our customers as a quote.

I have had to upload in .xls format so some of the functionality probably won't work. I can email a .xlsm version on request.

    Would you prefer the new version to be a cross-platform desktop app (e.g., Electron), a progressive web app (which runs on browsers but can work offline), or a native tablet/desktop app?

    How often do you update material and installation costs? Would you prefer:

    An in-app editor for updating prices?

    Or the ability to import updated prices from a spreadsheet or file?

    How would you like previous quotes to be stored? Should these be saved:

    Locally on the device?

    Or synced to a central cloud storage/database when online?

    For the quote PDFs:

    Do you already have a preferred design or layout you'd like to keep?

    Would you like me to create a modern, branded template that reflects your business?

    Will this app be used by just yourself or multiple users? If multiple, would you like me to include login or user-specific data access?
