Backend Engineer - MEAN Stack - Delivery systems

We house a young, vibrant team of intrapreneurs working towards one common goal - revolutionising the on-demand delivery industry.

Job Description:
We are looking for a Backend developer who will work with our team of talented mobile developers to design and build the next generation of our digital products. All work is done remotely, meaning communication and clear progress updates are required for the team's success. The successful candidate will be paid on a weekly basis and is expected to work 20h/week.

Duties:
- Implement new features in DelivrMe's backend systems.
- Maintain backend functionality across our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.

Requirements:
- Proven working experience in software and web app development
- Hands on experience with programming languages such as NodeJS, Express.js, MongoDB
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

Desired, but not required:
- Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
- Familiarity with Angular and Typescript
